Yeah, he operated under the assumption that people would understand that if they're currently on a shit plan with max payouts, they'd need to change to a broader plan that, you know, ACTUALLY WORKS if the person is hospitalized. Big mistake. He should've began this entire operation with an education program on health insurance so people can grasp what a useful plan is and what a scam plan is - like the ones that Home Depot cut. They were $20,000 max payout plans (useless), and they were expensive. So yes, if your current healthcare plan is a scam, you will need to choose a new one by the end of March.

melissa you promote obsama care cause its a free entitlement for you. you could care less for the four people family members who make 70,000 per year who just lost their "you can keep your plan" plan and now pay the "affordable" cost at a 100% increase lower grade bronze obama plan.

People who paid $90 a month for a healthcare plan capped at 20 grand weren't happy with it. They were unaware of it.

There is no evidence that Bush was spying on all Americans or our allies. There is evidence he was illegally spying on suspected terrorists. Obama is the one who expanded the program to include phone calls, emails, etc of ALL Americans and also our allies. That is an very interesting link though. It was already known Bush broke the law by not getting warrants for spying on terrorists, but I think there is a BIG difference between what Bush did and what Obama has done. Instead of terminating Bushs illegal spying on terrorists he expanded it to an unbelievable criminal level that clearly violated the Constitutional rights of millions of LAW ABIDING Americans suspected of nothing.

There is no value whatsoever in listening in on your phone calls and tracking your travels. Stop pretending there's a conspiracy by Obama to spy on "millions of law abiding Americans suspected of nothing." Especially when you can't even state just one hypothetical reason for doing so. The world's communications have been monitored for terrorist flags since 2002. That's it. It sucks, but it's the world we live in. And since both parties agree that there needs more transparency and less domestic activities, it'll be curtailed.

Nope. I haven't had health insurance since I first started my career. I'm still young and healthy. But now I'm forced to buy it. It's the right thing to do. It isn't fair to wait until I hit 50 to start paying premiums. You don't get to buy car insurance after you crash. You can't buy health insurance after you get sick. Pretty simple, really. I, like most Americans, will choose a plan in mid-December.

People can not afford to get it. There will not be as many people buying into the exchange as you think.

I already stated a reason, CONTROL. Control/power in the form of oppression is the obvious reason. It has nothing to do with terrorists, that is just a convenient excuse to justify their dastardly deeds. Just because you try and dismiss it by claiming their is no value doesnt diminish the criminality of his actions. If there is no value to it, WHY IS HE DOING IT? It is quite obvious there is value to it or they would not be wasting millions of dollars spying on Americans and our closest allies. THe Obama administration even said that they would use ANYTHING they found against ordinary Americans even though the information was acquired illegally. Things that have nothing to do with terrorism. That clearly shows the level of his arrogance and blatant disregard for the Constitution. I dont care how much you stick your head in the sand and try and dismiss it as nothing, it is the world we live in, what is the value, blah blah, liberty loving Americans KNOW it is a very big deal and is criminal to the point he should be impeached.

Yes he did. He flat out and knowingly LIED. He is a habitual liar. When he term is up I suspect he will get a job with Fox telling more lies, and doing with a straight face as always. He is a worthless excuse for a president and has absolutely no HONOR.

In this socialist program, those who can afford it will pay higher premiums to supplement those who are less fortunate.

Hundreds of thousands of people were happy with the insurance they had. Obama promised they could keep it. He flat out lied, as usual.

You can now. Many people will just pay the penalty until they get sick, thent hey will purchase insurance through the ACA. There is nothing int he law that stops them from doing so. The law is seriously flawed.

Really, if it so bad why are the Republicans supporting socialism? Taking my tax dollars to pay for hurricane damage reduction for North Carolina and flood control in Minnesota?? Using my money to help pay for people who want to build their homes in hurricane and flood zones? Is that not socialism? I guess socialism is OK for Repubs if it one of their pork projects. Hypocrites!! Republicans using public tax coffers for the benefit of few, and for the benifit of actual average Americans none the less, how unrepublican of them. Socialists!!!

==========
(Reuters)- The U.S. House of Representatives passed the Water Resources Reform and Development Act of 2013 on October 23, in an overwhelming 417-3 bipartisan vote, a novelty in an age of division.
The U.S. Senate has passed a similar measure, but with some differences, which will have to be ironed out if the measure is to become law.
The bill authorizes about $8 billion in projects across the country, but funds must still be appropriated in separate bills before anything can be spent.
Most projects also use funds from state governments and private sources.
Here is a sampler of projects authorized:

- Texas and Louisiana: Sabine-Neches Waterway project to improve navigation for large ships.
- Maryland: Mid-Chesapeake Bay Island Ecosystem Restoration
- Minnesota and North Dakota: Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan area project to reduce risks from floods.
- California: American River Watershed Program to reduce risk from floods in the Natomas Basin near Sacramento.
- Florida: Project to deepen the channel and improve port at Jacksonville; Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan.
- Georgia: Savannah Harbor expansion project.
- North Carolina: Hurricane and storm damage risk reduction project at West Onslow Beach, Surf City and North Topsail Beach.
- Kentucky: Flood risk management project for the Ohio River Shoreline.
- Mississippi: Coastal improvement program in Hancock, Harrison and Jackson Counties.
- Illinois, Kentucky: Lower Ohio River locks and dams improvement project.
- Indiana: Little Calumet River basic flood control project.
- Great Lakes region: Measures to fight the spread of Asian Carp.

Dumb tea bagger gunnut video of the week:

Chuck Woolery. In a suit. Holding an Ar-15. Even some Ice-T.

Watching the host of Love Connection talk while holding a gun is a little disturbing.

You really are a moron. If you live in WV, you probably have benefited from the actions of Robert (Pork) Byrd. When he died, I suggested that the state of WV could honor him by having a state wide pork roast at the Parkersburg Airport, one if his biggest wastes of tax payers dollars. And of course, he was one of your fellow democrats.
