And while Congress can't agree on whether to proceed, several states are not waiting. They are exploring how, over the next decade, they can move to a system in which drivers pay per mile of road they roll over. Thousands of motorists have already taken the black boxes, some of which have GPS monitoring, for a test drive.
If they would have made it JUST to track miles, it may have been more acceptable. But, who trusts the government to know where you, how fast you're going and God knows what else. They probably know all that now. Sad.
And you just nailed the actual purpose of these boxes. It isnt to tax you for miles, although they surely will like that also, the real intent is to be able to track you every movement. The government has gone crazy with their desire to know your everything you do, say, or go. We the people must let them know this is totally unacceptable in a free society and we need to kill this idea before it gains traction and they feel the control it gives them.

It is true. On Star is a tool for spying and tracking you driving. It keeps track of everything, your speed, your GPS, your driving habits. They can even listen to what you are saying in the vehicle. On Star is like the spyware in your computer tracking you every movement, but it is for your vehicle. The potential for abuse from this system is very real.

Just look at the bunch of lying and spying bastages we have running our country. Even when caught, they continue their illegal and unethical behavior. THey have felt the power, they will not stop the spying on us or our allies and just lie and say they did. The current leadership of this country is deplorable.
==========
A senior U.S. official late Monday disputed Senate Intelligence Committee chair Dianne Feinstein’s assertion that the United States has stopped all spying on allies.

Amid a global uproar over American surveillance activities, Feinstein (D.-Calif.) had announced earlier that “the White House has informed me that collection on our allies will not continue, which I support.”

National Security Council spokeswoman Caitlin Hayden, in a statement emailed to reporters, said the White House worked closely with Feinstein but would not confirm the senator’s assertion.“I’m not going to go into the details of those private discussions, nor am I going to comment on assertions made in the Senator’s statement today about U.S. foreign intelligence activities,” Hayden said.

A senior administration official, who requested anonymity to speak candidly, later told Yahoo News that Feinstein’s claim was “not accurate.” The official said there had been “some individual changes” to the policy,“we have not made across-the-board policy changes” like “terminating intelligence collection that might be aimed at allies.”

WASHINGTON (AP)-- The Obama administration says it's granting a six-week extension until March 31 for Americans to sign up for coverage next year and avoid new tax penalties under the president's health care overhaul law.

The Obama administration released a report Monday evening claiming that half of single, uninsured adults will be able to purchase coverage for under $50 a month under Obamacare.

More than 1 million single adults between the ages of 18 and 35 will be able to purchase the lowest cost bronze plan on the new insurance exchanges for under $50, the report from the Health and Human Services agency says. That’s about 46 percent of uninsured young adults in the 34 states that provided information to the agency. An additional 1 million single, uninsured young adults would qualify for Medicaid in these states, due to the expansion of the program.

The Obama administration released the findings the same day NBC News reported that 50 to 75 percent of people who currently buy health insurance on individual markets will receive a cancellation letter within the year because their plans do not meet new standards in the health care reform law. Some of those consumers will face higher costs when they purchase insurance on the exchanges, even with the federal subsidies that many people qualify for under the law.

Under 50 bucks my a$z. Maybe for a handful of people who are 21 and live in a abnormally highly competitive market area. More lies.

Why would the government need buttons on mirrors or "black boxes" to track your every move? Newsflash: Your cell phone can tell anyone whatever they need to know about you. They checked. Turns out most people are boring and they don't give a shit.

The Republicans are once again showing who they REALLY represent, and it certainly isnt the American people but if you are a rich banker you will have their full support and efforts. Republicans have been bought and paid for and now they must work for their bribes.
==========
The White House says it opposes legislation in the Republican-controlled House that would exempt certain financial transactions used by banks from falling under the provisions of a 3-year-old law passed in response to the 2008-2009 financial crisis.

The White House stopped short of threatening a presidential veto, but says that regulators should be permitted to complete new financial rules before new attempts to amend the regulations. The proposed legislation would allow certain risky bank trades to retain the protections of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

The White House did threaten to veto another House bill that would delay the Labor Department from issuing a rule designed to protect consumers in their investments, particularly their retirement savings. Republicans first want to determine whether the rule would hurt retail investors.

Wow.

Rep. Steve LaTourette of Ohio: "They basically come in with millions of dollars and big-foot a Republican primary and you wind up with these Manchurian candidates who are not interested in governing."

"...Not interested in governing." That's a pretty good description of the current state of the Republican Party. From a republican.

You can be dismissive of your oppressors but sorry to tell ya, people do give a shit. Government kool aid drinkers may not care, but most others certainly do. Your cell phone can not LEGALLY tell anyone whatever they want to know about you. But that is right, you are dismissive of the governments ILLEGAL spying also, so to you legal or not it doesnt matter. Drink some more kool aid. The government thanks you for your stupidity. Say baaaaaaa.

The liar in chief EXPOSED! Hahaha
==========
Before the Affordable Care Act became law in 2010, President Obama promised Americans they could keep their healthcare plan if they liked it. But already hundreds of thousands of citizens are receiving notification that their plans are being cancelled because they don't comply with the new law, and, according to NBC News, the Obama administration has known for at least three years the cancellations were coming.

While campaigning for health care reform in 2009, Obama went out of his way to make one thing perfectly clear: if you like your current health care plan, you will be able to keep it.

On June 15, 2009, Obama said this: "We will keep this promise to the American people. If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your healthcare plan, you will be able to keep your healthcare plan. Period.”

In 2012, he echoed that sentiment, saying, "“If [you] already have health insurance, you will keep your health insurance.”

However, many are finding that not to be the case. More than 300,000 cancellation notices have been sent out in Florida, according to Kaiser Health News, and another 180,000 in California. In New Jersey, the number of cancellations tops 800,000, the Star-Ledger reports.

According to NBC News, approximately 50 to 75 percent of the 14 million Americans who buy their health insurance individually should expect to receive a cancellation letter over the next year "because their existing policies don’t meet the standards mandated by the new health care law."

This could result in millions of Americans being forced to purchase different policies, potentially at higher premiums.
