you people don't realize that it is hard to work in a place like that. You have rude people like you all on here running your mouth to the hard workers who are trying to make aliving and most of the people who work there are kids in school leave them be it's better for them to be working then out here on drugs or doing other things. I like McD.'s and I will eat there I haven't had a problem yet out of them if you don't like the way they are then keep your ass at home and cook. simple as that. and yes they are short handed but it will pick up if you have ever worked in a place like that then you would know how it is and you wouldn't be on here talking the shit that you are. Thank you to all that do work at McDonalds in Lester you are doing a great job with what help you do have.

Hard work? I really don't know what that is. I do not know what is like to carry a 350lbs person backup over a hill after they have crashed, I don't know what it is like to do CPR on husband, father and son while the wife, daughter and son stand there praying their loved one can be helped. I do not know what it is like to be in a house fire with the flames over my head, I do not know what it is like to take a gun off a husband after he just beat his wife. THAT is what hard work is, do your damn job!!!!!!!

roger shut up. these are kids. that's the hard work they know. everyone realizes that there is someone who has it worse than them & don't need an old man to talk about his job. yes I'll agree having lives in your hands isn't easy at all. but standing their listening to a bunch of ungrateful snobby jerks isn't all that peachy either. & some of their worst customers are ems thinking the world owes them everything for what they do. I appreciate them 100% I don't degrade their job, I don't think it's easy, I don't think I could handle it, but I don't think the world owes them any special treatment. I don't think anyone has a right to cuss & complain & throw a fit over waitin a little extra time. they can't help if they are packed. like someone before me said, you don't like the wait, the service, the food, or the condition of the restaurant then go somewhere else or go home & cook. Hardee's takes FOR EVER!! & yet people are still in line there. their building is disgusting & the people are rude. you want to see bad service, go there. then again that's my personal experience & opinion.

I use to work there and its hell. you get paid very little to put up with a shit ton of crap! the owner of that store has to be one of the greediest owners ive ever had to deal with. they expect everything from you and plus they like to rip off your hours. in two weeks one time I know i worked 85 hours but yet when I got my check it said 70. I complained but they didn't do anything about it so I found a better job and I'm sooo happy with it!

Should you ever have a complaint about your wages and you can't get any satisfaction at your place of employment, then contact;
The West Virginia labor board.

http://www.wvlabor.com/newwebsite/Pages/index...

The labor board HAS to follow up on all complaint's and they have done audits of up to 3 years back and got people money that they should have been paid including overtime that was paid as regular time. Don't wait, give them a call!

they ARE DOING THEIR JOB! when you go in they are all busting their asses to do their job! the only people I have seen stand around & talk are the cashiers & that's because they are solely cashiers. if there isn't anyone to ring up then they stand there. I kinda think it's a good idea to have everyone doing one thing because that way, no one is in each other's way and you know who to hold accountable for something not being done. it makes sense. plus, if a cashier makes something and it's wrong then they should have done it anyway. then again, more people should be able to multitask. but it falls back on people being rude and impatient. you pay for your food to be cooked for you & that's what you're getting, you also pay for fast food ... they're making it as fast as they can & it's still faster than something you'd make at home so be patient and calm down.

Some VERY good points, but they also pay for what they want, the bag gets handed to you and it's wrong 85% of the time, that's what I mean do your job and see what goes to what order.

You are so right! This place never changes all the way down to the cracks in the sidewalk. They celebrated their 100th birthday and the pictures from 100 years ago look the same as they do now. Don't understand what all the fuss is about unless you are into time travel. This is the town that time forgot.

Going to the top won't work you will be told it's individually owned and they have no control over the stores. or at least that's what we were told about subway in Beaver where the guy that was working had greasy hair and his pants below his butt. on top of that he got the order wrong.

BOYCOTT THE MCDONALS AT SOPHIA! Go over there during the day when the workers are there and see if you can find one license plate of the workers that reads WEST VIRGINIA.No all the workers are from Ohio. Why would you give them your money when they couldnt even contract a West Virginia contractor to build it.Thats why there is no jobs in West Virginia is because these big companies move in and hire out of state contractors.I never plan to visit there but Im just saying this Mcdonalds only interest in West Virginia is their money, and let me add I am not a contractor.Don't know why anyone would want to eat that crap anyway and whats worse is that you would feed it to your children. YUCK!!!
All work done is done by bids. The reason out of state workers get all the work around here is because west virginia contractors think there work is worth millions. You shop for the best price when you go shopping at the store so why cant buisnesses do the same. I use contractors from virginia all the time. Its a shame they will travel here and you still get a 20% better price

Roger, you can always check your bag before you leave. Ever thought of that! You have time to bitch and moan about how you have to wait an extra minute for your food to be done but not to check and see if you have what you paid for? Wow ypu jave no common sense bud!

You should have to check what someone that you are paying should have already double checked, I have been told that the same person owns the one on Bryd Drive in Beckley as well and I have NEVER had an issue with that one and I am more than willing to drive past the closer one because I know that my food will be hot, right and the staff friendly. Maybe it's the managment that needs changed.

This McDonalds made 3 mistakes in just 1 visit last night:

1. Wrong change.
2. Wrong order- special order wrapped but not special.
3. Wrong order - 2 sandwiches instead of 1 sandwich and 1 1 pie.

Wow, 3 mistakes in just one trip though the drive thru . Check your change and your order before you pull away and you will probably never visit this one again liked me even though I drive by the place 2 times per day .

Also, I tried to call to let them know of their shortcomings and it took over 2 hours to get through, they did not apologize and did not seem to even care.

Worst management / ownership I have encountered!!!
