It seems the Pioneer Press couldn't quite muster the professionalism to fully examine the story.

I foresee a very large lump of coal falling on the Pioneer Press Building on the night before Christmas.

The bad news is that the building will be leveled.

The really good news is that after all the coal dust settles, a new building will arise, with upscale boutiques on the ground floor and above it there will be condos for the kind of educated and professional (as opposed to amateur) people we want to attract to the downtown area. With the new lightrail transit, the city will prosper and everyone will live happily ever after.

The new and improved Pioneer Press Building will be constructed in Afton. Your home delivery rates will increase, but you'll still receive the same fine newspaper that reports the news accurately and without bias, one that looks out for your interests.

Considering that the Black middle class is much larger than it was before the 1960's, I will have to respectfully disagree with you. Although the growth of the Black middle class may owe to factors other than The War on Poverty, LBJ's policies in general had a positive effect on Blacks (especially the Civil Rights Act of 1964).

You are absolutely correct.(does this mean that you have seen the light about the political party's and will now be voting Republican).

This story is about the violent Tribal Behavior of young Black males....These males will probably never reach middle class income from "Workaday" lifestyle choices.

The violence is in my opinion a direct result of the destruction of the Black family, by the White power structure, by forcing the removal of the Black male role model fromt he lives of young boys, and incentivising young black females to reproduce as a way to recieve income and sustanance that she should seek in the security of marriage.

This phenomenom of fatherless, un-married Black Americans, is a direct result of the policies of the 1960's. It wasnt this way pre the "Great Society". To deny the correlation between the Leftist Democrat social policy (law) and the results we livewith today is simply ignorant.

If the only think you know about the concept of hate crimes is "hate" and "crime" you're not adding much to this discussion. Of course the crime involves an element of hate, duh; all crimes do to some extent. Hate crimes involve crimes that have the additional dimension of animus against a particular group based on race, gender and such. Shortening it to the simple term hate crime presupposes that those talking about it actually know something more than those two words and have a minimum amount of common sense, not much of which is in evidence here. So those who keep yammering on about how this one involves hatred, as though they have unearthed some startling truth that the rest of us somehow missed, should practice walking and chewing gum at the same time.

The man beaten asked not to be identified. One reason is probably because he is afraid of retaliation from the "gang" that beat him up. Now that they are back on the street and free to roam wherever I would be afraid too. You would think that they could come up with more serious charges than 3rd degree assault. You know that at least some of these thugs will get a plea deal making this a misdemeanor. I feel sorry for this guy, hopefully he will make a full recovery and be available for trial to put these slimeballs away.

This is simple.

The law should clearly be white & black. Anytime a crime is committed against someone of the same race it is not a hate crime, but rather a crime.

Anytime one race attacks another race it's a hate crime. Simple as that.

Under this honest an fair policy we will see who hates others who the most and worst !!!

And who causes other races to hate them back for not acting resposible for and EVEN excusing their actions.
