drunken cops? NEVER!

in California they used to laugh it off......and coddle the drunkard back to his beddy-bye....never the local slam.

Used a taser three times. If it was a citizen he would have been shoot three dozen times. Why the double standards. You never hear about tazers sinse murder has become the cops favorate way to advancement. I was a old folks home talking to the group. The seniors felt cop murder is one of the most important issues in todays criminal just us systems. Everyone knows they are all criminal enterprises. The seniors talked about old times when police served and protected and America was free. A log time ago.

it is obvious this cop stepped on some`s toes. otherwise he would have been driven home. If not for double standards cops would not have any.

For the union to walk away from this guy. Instead they will defend him to the detriment of all union members.

These are the people that protect us and arrest drunk drivers. Interesting. Probably get a little slap on the wrist and said "Dont do it again". What a joke

One more example of why individuals that hold a peace officer's license should be legally forbidden to ingest alcohol and be subjected to random testing. They do, after all, have 24/7 access to firearms and powerful automobiles.

It appears that this guy was not in cuffs before being put in the squad, if so how could he have gotten so out of control. Is it not protocal that if you are arrested you are cuffed before being placed in the squad?

It would be great to be able to go on PAID leave I wonder how long that will go on. I guess he will need it since he shouldn't have a license for a year after a refusal. I bet he will get a slap on the wrist since he is a cop.

Another one?! Man, what is it with cops and misbehavior? Could it be, could it possibly be that they are drawn from, or perhaps converted to by training, a demographic that thinks idiotic belligerence and general tough guy idiocy is allowable? Policing attracts the wrong element.

You know their games, it's call department procedure.
Actually, it's called due process of law. It's in the U.S. Constitution. While I don't agree with his behavior, the sergeant does have constitutional rights. The paid administrative leave part is in their contract. You can blame the Anoka County administators/commissioners for that part.
