Not bashing anyone but expressing a simple opinion that if the people of Metropolis want to see change in this city and don't want this city to stagnate then people will vote for some changes. This coming up week candidates will be able to pick up their petition papers to be put on the ballot next year. I will be watching this closely. Also, if you aren't registered to vote you need to get registered before October 9 to be able to vote in the Presidential election.

Billy has little to no political experience. All the political experience he has is what he has learned in his term as the current mayor. While he made great BBQ, I will give him that, he is a tyranical spiteful little man that feeds on power. He is not a very good leader, cant take helpful critisim with out getting angry and beats his desk in true little man fashion when he is angry. He is bad for metropolis. We need someone who undestand the inner and outer workings of the community and what its needs truely are. and by the way, in my opinion, Jerry Mizel is not a good candidate either. another power hungry, and full of nonsence candidate. We may be WORSE off with him in office.

when I read the above statement about Billy and Jerry not being qualified ,whatmakes Butch qualified? he has absolutely no qualification in any form of administration. please advise as to why I should vote for him or give him a chance,he is less qualified then the other two and yet they arent worth voting for, I dont think giving someone a chance is a chance the city of metropolis can afford just to be nice. WE NEED QUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS TO RUN not just somebody a chance,if Butch is qualified please list his qualifications.

Then you should be happy. Jerry Mizell is NOT going to be running for Mayor due to certain medical issues which I can't go into specifically in respect of his health privacy rights. But his doctor told him to not run for Mayor.

yeah your right, being a "honest Christian" replaces political experience and cool headed leadership any day! NOT! what planet are you living on! Granted being a christian is a good quality, but cant replace good leadership skills and experience.

Just what matters to voters with any sense is what candidate for office is the belief the person will perform their duty beholden only to to the people of Metropolis. It should make no difference if said person is member of a church or not. To me performance of duty should come first.

If decisions are made based on what's best for citizens, the I would consider that a GOOD LEADER! Jerry Mizell has shown he is voting for what's right! I feel the LANDLORDS VOTE WAS RIGHT FOR THE CITY! Why should landlords. Pay for DEADBEAT TENANTS WHO DON'T PAY THEIR BILLS the way the rest of us have to!
I think Mr. Mizell would make a WONDERFUL MAYOR! I am sorry his health is preventing him from pursuing that post!
