That's stupid, legeally they have to have a certain percent of their employees full time.

That percentage can be management too, right? They are firing full time employees with 10 years service in Ohio for little petty things that don't amount to a hill of ants.
If you are full time you will be on the chopping block.

Plus if they don't know you they won't hire you. I know cause I've tried at several different stores.

Its not if they know you or not because we just recent got a new manager and they are hiring it just takes a while for them to get thru the apps. If you dont get a call in 60 days its best to redo your application again and be available all the time and they will not start you as a full time associate either

And just because we got a new manager doesn't mean your going to get hired...Why you ask. Well Because this Walmart Manager hires Mostly the ones from her store in Big Stone. So either way youngins-Go to McDonalds.

In order to get a job at WalMart, it's not about who you know. When I worked there, I did not know anyone working there. It actually is not hard to get a job there. First, they must have jobs open for which they are hiring for. If you put your application in BEFORE they post the jobs available you will not be called. Your best bet is to not just redo your app every 60 days but to update it every 30 days...if you are really serious about wanting a job. You cannot put in an application once & expect to get a job. You have to be persistent about it. Second, in doing your application, you must score high enough on the online test or your application will not be pulled. Third, if you get called for an interview don't wear jeans & a t-shirt!!! Dress appropriately in business casual attire, groom yourself & arrive 15 minutes early. If you aren't dressed nicely, you haven't shaved or brushed your hair & you are late it doesn't look like you are serious about wanting a job. If you do all of this & do well in your interviews then you are REQUIRED to take a drug test. You also must pass this drug test & you will be called to work. Even if you do all of this & you get hired, you MUST show up to work. No business will keep a person who always calls in or is late all of the time. If you get hired, good luck...show up to work & do your job!!!

So are you getting paid any extra for that sales pitch you just gave? Probably not. Just for what its worth, I know how to get a job and I can work circles around you and anyone like you.

I think you should read the story of the Turtle and the Hare...
It's obvious you have that bunny-be-better attitude.

I just know me, what my ethics are, what I'm talking about and I'm not kissing butt to work anywhere.

Then stay unemployed, on food stamps and let the rest of us pay for your butt.
That sound more like your ethics?

I am a 6 year decorated Army Medic, a 25 yr Firefighter/EMT, have college credits in Fire Science and Emergency Management and don't need you to tell me how to get a stinking job! The very few times ive even checked on Walmart, basically for extra work, I've been passed over for some potheaded, pillsnorting, nonworking deadbeat that probably couldn't spell cat if you gave them the c and the t. Sound like you?

No, I can spell Cat!
C-A-T!
and I know how to spell four letter words too!
I'm a Kindergarden graduate!!!

Your qualifications strike me as those from a 45 year old man who is NO LONGER in the army and is a volunteer fire fighter.

You were probably passed over for a job by those potheaded, pillsnorting, nonworking deadbeat (which you can't say that one because they got your job) because they're younger and can RUN circles around you at your age. I say CAN because they can but probably are lazy and only half-ass it.

Either way, why would you want to take all that hard work you've done (earning those credits blah blah) and work at Wally World? There are numerous folks looking for people to watch over elderly people and if I was looking for someone to watch over my elderly parents, I'd certainly look at your qualifications and hire you.
