Tragic, but completely avoidable accident.

Do NOT pull the [email protected] trigger if you do not know what you are shooting at.

Prayers for both families involved.

No more hunting for this guy. Serously I just don't understand how these accidents happen. When you shoot a gun you should be absolutely sure what you see is what you are intending to shoot.

Haven't they heard of wearing bright orange hunting gear so they will be seen?

After my nephew nearly shot my husband while they were hunting, ALL the hunters in my family now wear ORANGE hats, vests, etc., so they can be SEEN in the woods. A deer does NOT wear orange!

Condolences to the family for their loss.

Yup I have seen more and more deer walking on thier hind legs this last year.

And folks ask me why I don't hunt in SC. I've seen "hunters" shoot and sight in at the range. And when they totally miss the target, it is always the rifles fault. Then they say that last year they shot a twenty point buck in the driving rain, with a hundred mph wind while falling out of a tree stand, about then I pull out a hundred dollars and try and make a bet.

Few people shoot enough to actually be good, and once a year is not the right answer.

I am not against hunting, just bad shooting.

Deer do wear orange all of the time. They are just color blind and can't tell it.
