It's the most despicable smear of this campaign. Obama is a good Christian! You should be ashamed to call yourself a Christian for your lying insinuation.

That church should have its tax exempt status removed for violation of church-state rules. You can't use a church for political purposes. Not to mention the non-Christian actions of its pastor and congrgation who voted to keep the sign up. I wonder if the 9 registered sex offenders are members.

I'm constantly amazed by the plain ignorance of some people in South Carolina.

Hopefully the people who actually go to this church will wake up and realize how unethical and ignorant their pastor is making them all seem...but then again, this is South Carolina we're talking about.:D

I have searched for a phone number so I could chat with Paster Byrd. No luck. Perhaps his phone has been ringing a tad too much for his liking?
The sad thing is that he most likely does not think that he has done anything wrong.

I have emailed the IRS to notify them that this church might be overstepping its bounds and violating its tax-exempt status. I sincerely hope they are investigated.
It is a sad state of affairs when a church who holds itself to Christian principles -- being their brother's keeper, not bearing false witness against your neighbor -- engages in this sort of smear. Thanks for your utter hypocrisy. I'm sure your God will not hold that against you in the pearly gates of heaven.

What a stupid thing to put on a church sign, way to go Jonesville, now you look like idiots on a national level. Pull yourselves together you cannot be that ignorant, surely.

WOW! HA! I think it absolutely EXCELLENT that the church is standing together to use their voice...if it was your church, would you be so judgemental? All the church did was ask a simple question showing that the origion of the Obama name is indeed a Muslim name, right or wrong? Obama is obvious not as devout to his church as he originally claimed. Ya know, seeing that being a member of a church in good standing "looks" good to those running for office, yet when his church "damned" America, he no longer agreed. No? Well the way I see it is, Obama's church did exactly what this church did--voiced a collective voice, which I believe is a right of everyones....

no luck finding a number or getting him to answer? I am sure the church's number is in the book and can be googled.
