Can someone explain why it is so difficult to become a patient of a family physician or internist? Forms I understand but submitting the forms then waiting for drs to reviews the forms and then the office will either call and schedule an appointment or not. Was told this process can take two or three weeks. We have good insurance. Have been thru several relocations and never have had to wait for a dr. to approve my form before taking us a patient. What gives in this part of NC?

They want to screen out possible litigious patients because they are incompetent!
