Make no mistake people.... Martinrea is a meat grinder company whom cares ONLY about the numbers & money. Hot as hell in the summer, and cold as ice in the winter (Jonesville). Pretty much ran with a "want to work? then shut up!!" mentality. Get a job here to pay the bills, and be prepared to work longer than you have ever done. But NEVER make the mistake in thinking you're valued.... whichever Martinrea plant/location you are considering. It's just the way they operate, Take it or leave it!!

I won't claim to know anything about this company, because I personally have never worked here. But one thing I do know is that in a world where so many people are unemployeed and wishing they had work I can not believe the attitudes of people here. When you say all the company cares about is money and power. Have you ever thought WHY is any company in busines. Possibly if you went to work with a positive attitude and and a willingness to be a teamplayer your attitude would rub off on others and there you could impart a change. It can take one rotten apple to spoil the whole peck, but take one positive attitude and positive approach and see what happens. Anger breads more anger, but a smile and positive attitude??? Hmmm try it and just see what could happen.

(JRK) "I never worked here.".... This is most likely a Martinrea manager (or other higher power) trying to discredit the truths mentioned/posted here. Like I stated, It's a job in very frustrating conditions ranging from managment to eqiuipment support. With high expectations from (you) the operators to fill the gaps.

They had a listing on MTB for shipping about 2 weeks ago. You got to go through elwood staffing (temp agency) for $9.45? per hr, then if they like you, they pick you up in 90 days for I belive $11.45 per hr with .10 every two weeks until top pay of $14.?? They are expanding the building so they must be ramping up for something. Working 3 shifts.
try going through manpower. start out higher pay.

I have worked at MR in Jonesville for over 3 years. All I can say is that if you are a brainless sheep you will enjoy it. If you have half a brain and any common sense then the place will drive you crazy. They treat thier good employees like crap while you see bad employees getting away with bull. Including supervisors. We have a supervisor that sleeps on the job ,comes to work drunk, leaves for a few hours here and there while absolutely no one will say anything about it for fear of being an the bad side of management. We have seen through example what happens when you rock the boat. You wont last long if you do and your life will be miserable until you are gone. All the while the man in charge of 3rd knows these things go on and does nothing.

If you are a temp and expecting to get hired in a timely manner you will be sorely mistaken. They do not hire temps before you have put in at least 6 months. I have seen some wait even longer.
