Tink I'm kidding? Go to Iraq. Get your leg blown off. Come back to Tennessee. Bring your one good leg with you. You will apply for disability, right?

Well, the GD Repiblicans that you dipwads put into the house don't want your freeloader ass in their GD state. Because you chose Tennessee to bring your freeloader ass to, you will wait almost 9 months BEFORE YOU EVEN GET AN ANSWER, if your one-legged, freeloader, welfare toting, food stamp, entitlement ass even gets any help.

See, you voted for republicans to run this state. The work for the wealthy. A veteran isn't wealthy. YOU LOSE !!!

Let me ask you something. What do you think the republicans are hoping will happen in those nine months? They hope you are dying. If you're not dead, they have to approve you, but wait. You've just been approved. It will be another 15 months before you get any money. Perhaps you will die during those 15 months.

Keep voting for republicans , you worthless idiots. While the veteran with one leg is living off off of $17,600, Ron Ramsey slipped raises to his staff members (a mule, two imbisils and a scarecrow)... He raised their pay to $156,700 while there was a freeze on all state employees (aimed at teachers)

So, if you send your kids to Iraq and they get a leg blown off? Move to somewhere else, because this state is red.....and STUPID.

Nice try but your facts aren't even close to being correct. Veterans' Disability is managed by the Federal Government, not the state government. How do I know? I am a veteran living in Tennessee with a disability. My disability is paid by the Federal Government and it only took 2 weeks to get. There was not one form that had to be filled out for the State of Tennessee. You are either doing something wrong or have some type of vendetta against Republicans in general.

It takes 9 months for a disability case to be heard and another 3 years for it to be approved, on average.
So either you or your daddy knows somebody that expedited your claim or you're a liar.
I do agree that it's a problem with the VA system but republicans are against paying AnyBody ANY money. Period. Doesn't matter the circumstances.
Even if they left their leg in Iraq in service to our country.
And in the unlikely chance that you really did suffer a disability in service to our country, I appreciate you sacrifice and hope that you will help others like you get the benefits that daddy got for you.

Me too, if you served and are disabled, then god bless you. Listen folks, facts are facts. The truth is not something that is delivered to you. FOX NEWS WORKS FOR SATAN. Now , it is FACT that it takes nine months for just the answer to arrive to a vet, and two years to get to him...Fing Republicans wAt that money going to the rich....

Ae you people so unconcerned that you will vote republican and starve a wounded vet? If so, then I hope that one day you are hungry. GD the Republican Party and GD half of America.

I filled out my husband's own disability papers in mid-April this year.. he got his first check in June. I dont' know "anybody" and I'm certainly not a liar. I'm not sure why there is a hold-up on yours, but again, it's the Federal government that processes these claims, not the State. The Republicans have nothing to do with it.

Miss, certainly your not a liar. But neither are we. It was on MSNBC that the average wait for veterans in Tennessee was 9 months to get an answer and two years to get a check....your case is different, somehow....

Like the poster says, come back to Tenneseee with one leg, and because of the state senate and the quick to judge anyone who's getting assistance except themselves, have blocked the process.. It will get worse

I'm not doubting that it took you that long.. I actually have worked on SS in a law office before and I think the average wait was 2 years...I'm not sure if there is a rhyme or reason as to how they decide and when..I really don't know that.

I am curious to know what her husbands difference was. HMM. There had to be something. The state of Tennessee senate members purposely keep things so a screw that it makes things difficult to catch them. I can see them approving a small fraction just to throw things off.

These are the same state thugs that gave $92 million to Electrolux for no damn reason at all. But to a veran? F HIM. he's a taker, he's a freeloader, he's a drunk, he's a pain killer taker.

Once you don't have any value to a state senator, you are trash. They must be pummeled into absolute submission and deported. Wit h no shoes

Were you filing for disability through the VA because your husband is a veteran or were you filing for SSDI?

First, thanks for the kind words, and yes, I am a disabled vet resulting from my time in Afghanistan. In my opinion, it was a small price to pay so that terrorism can be thwarted.

I don't know exactly how you are filing, but disability for veterans comes from the Federal Government. Mine was through the VA. My claim might have been faster because I filled out all my VA paperwork in Germany while in the hospital and everything was ready to go once I was released. I also had some help during a short stay at Walter Reed Hospital. Maybe that was the difference.

I would also like to state there are no news media that accurately report on what is going on in Afghanistan. Every news media outlet has distorted what actually goes on there. I am not going to talk too much on details of this war, but what I know from my own experience is that in general, the republican side of the government takes far better care of the military in the field. That is just my experience and my experience may be different than other areas.

I have studied all my paperwork and have found nothing that involves the state of Tennessee. In fact, the only person that was non-military and non-family to visit me while in Walter Reed was our local congressman. He is well known and is a republican. I was very appreciative of that visit and still am. I did receive a letter from our local state senator, and I was very appreciative of that as well.

Even if you are referring to Social Security disability, that is a federal program as well. I did ask my VA administrator today if he knew of a program in Tennessee that some Veterans would fall under, but he did not know of any. Again, not saying you are incorrect, just saying that your circumstance my be different than mine.

I am very proud to be an American and very proud to be a Tennessean. I do not make any political preferences when it comes to our nation and state because I have fought for the right for citizens to have these preferences. If you have been in a country that does not have such freedoms, I am sure you have realized how much more important it is to have the choice to affiliate with a religion or political party than it is to be forced to think in a certain manner. I am not a democrat because I choose not to be, not because somebody forced me to be a republican. True, I don't agree with everything associated with the democratic party, but instead of condemning these thoughts, I applaud this nation for giving everyone the right to have their own thoughts and applaud even those I don't agree with for having the determination to be for something. There are so many in other countries who are basically brainwashed into a simplistic way of thinking that does not include any of their own thoughts. It is a sad way of life. Yes, we do have differences in this country, but thank goodness we are free to have these differences of opinion without threat of persecution.

God bless you my friend for your service. I mean that with all sincerity.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service.. My husband is retired Air Force and I come from a long line of family who serves/has served in the military.. I'm proud that our younger generation in the family is also joining up...I wish you the best of luck, and again... there are so many that feel the same way that I do... we truly appreciate your sacrifice and service..
