Just read where Tim Cable will be leaving WJHL. Very sorry to hear this. He was a very good newsman, and his local interest stories will be sorely missed.

Good luck Tim.

He needs to decide to either shave his head or buy a wig. That goofy-looking hairdo he's got now ain't working.

Love Tim & the Cable Country segments.
Congrats & best of luck to him!
Does anyone know what he's leaving WJHL
to do?
Also, who will be his replacement on the AM
news ?

They could not replace me. Hard to replace the huhs and ahhs, and the way he always would say"New this Morning". Well we are watching the news, dummie!!!

I don't think I'll miss him much. Years ago he would be out and about in town, still wearing his stage makeup and acting like a celebrity. Kinda reminded me of Oliver Hardy. As far as his reporting skills, he did as well as the rest at WJHL, reporting news for Bristol and Kingsport instead of Johnson City.

It's over now for me and WJHL. Tom was the only reason I still watched.
I detest the rest of them.

Yep, Ill miss ole Tim.

I loved his "Cable Country" segments. It was about the only thing on WJHL that was fit to watch.

The rest of the WJHK news program (and all the CBS prime-time shows too, for that matter) is pretty much just a bunch of electronic garbage.

If I want to hear the news or weather for everywhere except here, or to get a slanted to the left, pre-digested portion of garbage journalism, then I can always tune in to WJHL.

But I probably wont.
