Please wait...
Can you believe this? That mom who gave birth in the car on the way to Franklin Woods last week abandoned the newborn in the hospital. The real dad showed up and the little girl was in DCS custody before he got to take her home. Here's the story in the Johnson City Press: http://www.johnsoncitypress.com/News/article....

They are both trash! Anyone who knows them will tell you that. This is her 5th or 6th child. She doesn't have any of them thank God! They are just alike, they is why she keeps coming back to him.

Would you rather she left it in a dumpster to die, or maybe even aborted the child? If she hadnt been in the paper you'd be none the wiser. If she wants to adopt the child out it is probably for the best. You have no idea.

and the religious right is fighting for Pro-Life. Do you really think it is in the best interest of the child to be brought into this world by someone who does not want them? Having a child should be a privilege, not a right. Everybody with a Pro-Life bumper sticker on their car, should be allotted as many abandoned children as necessary until all the children have homes.

All children are a gift from God. I'm thankful that she in fact left the baby at the hospital and I wish only the best for the little girl that she will be in a home surrounded by love. Enough is enough especially when we are paying for these people to have children who in the end only wants them for the money they receive from the state. Yes it's a woman's right but there comes a time to put your brain into action and stop bringing children into the world if you don't want to take care of them or can't afford to do so. There are so many couples in this world who would love to have a child of their own and due to medical reason are not able to do so that will give them a loving home and be able to take care of them. It's ashame that we have a hospital right in our back door that doesn't deliver babies anymore and you have to drive to Johnson City. We may have more stories of babies being delivered on the side of the road.

I am glad she left the child in a safe place instead of a dumpster like some people do. I don't know this woman's circumstances but at least she thought enough of her child to leave it in a safe place. I also think the press should have kept the story quiet. These safe places are there for a reason to keep babies safe and secure. this woman has a right to privacy no matter what anyone thinks of her. I am glad she left it where it could be taken care of.

If she had been doing it for the baby she wouldnt have just "abandoned" the child there. She would have at least told someone at the hospital she wanted to leave the child there.
Poor little baby. Absolutely breaks my heart!

Anyone that has been convicted of child abuse or had a child taken from them should be sterilized immediately. No appeal.
