There are several people in the area who do remodeling who are extremely disreputable (shoddy work, theft, cheat you on labor/materials). Get lots of references, check them out thoroughly and proceed with extreme caution.

Even one of the guys working there said stay away from the one running that job. He said they covered a lot of mold up. I would just like the names of a couple good ones.

Call the local lumber yards, Pardue builders, Turpins, and ask them who they recommend. The contractors buy from them and they know who is honest and who isn't.

I did check the local phone book and there is only one home improvement listed. I did call that # and have not been contacted. I could ask the lumber yards, I just thought that someone would be nice enough to recommend someone they have had a good experience with. I guess I expected to much. It is easier for most people to be cynical than helpful, and they both take about the same amount of effort. C'mon

Check references. Remodeler should be able to give you contact info for four or five or more people they've done great work for and the people should not be kinfolks of theirs. It's unlikely you will find great reports on much of anyone in Jonesboro but don't just take the word of anonymous Topix folks, check everyone out for yourself. I have hair-raising tales plus those of neighbors and friends in JB. Not gonna tell all that here though, just telling you to check people out extensively who have themselves been satisfied customers. Don't use someone because someone said, "Well, I hear Joe Blow is all right." Good advice in any town.

The best quality work that has been recommended so far is in hodge, they could not remember who did it, but did give me home owner name and they are out of town for a few days. Thanks again.

If you need painting done, do not use caskey painting , they don't do a good job and are way to high, crooks and everything else. Use huckaby painting they the best.

Caskey's did a great job for me and were very reasonable and very friendly. They are good people and do good work. I would recommend them to everyone.👍
