I don't attend church, but I saw on a TV commercial that a non-denominational church on Stadium, Christian Fellowship or something like that, has a multi-racial congregation. Isn't it sad, though, that of all places, a church is a place you would have to worry about being judged for being a mixed couple? I don't believe God would approve of people being discriminated against in his house. It is a shame that people would be such hippocrites. I hope you find a good church that you will be happy in. Good luck!

Living word church on Hwy 49 has mixed couples. I don't go there, I don't go anywhere, but I know families who go there and consider them good people.

Lets take a lesson from the animal kingdom. German shepard and pit bull dogs can breed. Persian and alley cats can breed. Poodle and cocker spanial dogs can breed. Ragdoll and siameze cats can breed, BUT Poodle dogs and Ragdoll cats CANNOT breed. Its the same with humans. African and caucasian people can breed. Asian and Arabic people can breed, BUT caucasian people and german sherpard dogs cannot breed. According to nature the lesson is that animals of the same species can mix. Those that arent of the same species cannot mix. People are people. They can mix.

Have you tried any churches in Jonesboro and found the judgemental spirit manifesting its ugly head?

Thanks to everyone for your support. I truly appreciate it. I'm not one to comment on others opioions. I know that everyone has a right to thier own opinions so he is entitled to his but as for me and my family we are just going to find a good church home and try to live right. If it is wrong in the end we will all know. Again, thank you to all that are just trying to help a couple that wants a closer relationship with God try to find a church home.

You ought to try First Assembly of God at 1404, Stone Street, Jonesboro, there was a couple attended a couple years ago, but job moved them out of town, they were accepted and loved. God loves us all unconditionally. there is two services on Sun morn 8:30 and then Sunday school, 10:30 AM second services and Sunday night at 6:00 PM . God Bless you

My husband and I attend Temple Baptist, and there are several different cultural backgrounds there. It's a bigger church, but it has a small church feel.

We have a wide variety of services and times of attendance as well.

What type of church is the First Assembly of God? What type of church would you compare it to? Methodist, UCC? The comment about "God loves us all unconditionally" is that how you truly feel? Do you feel that way personally? I'm asking because I'm trying to find out if another type of "alternative" couple would be welcome in your church. Thanks.

First Assembly is a pentecostal church, yes I do know God loves us all unconditionally, the little song, red , yellow. black or white they are precious in his sight, Jesus loves all the children of the world. I am so thankful he loves ,me and forgives me of my sins. We welcome anyone. My God guide your steps to finding your church. Bless you

Thank you for your response! I understand that "color" isn't an issue however, to me color is irrelevant, I don't care what color a person is that is what makes us all so unique. I guess what I am trying to find out is if it matters that a person can't help who they fall in love with whether it be male or female. I'm not trying to start anything, I'm just trying to find out if I would be welcome because I have been made to feel uncomfortable in other churches (not here in Jonesboro because I haven't tried). It's disheartening to want to worship and be unable to find a church that truly accepts all of God's children.

How can it call itself a church if it sits in judgement of it's fellow man. Hate and prejudice are not taught by the lord. I would hope any church in Jonesboro would welcome you. It's all about Heaven.

this should be a non issue!!!!!!!

Why would you have to search out a church that accepts black and white people? If you find one that doesn't accept you for who you are, then they are not GODLY in any way shape or form. POST THE CHURCHES NAME ON HERE if they have made you feel unaccepted. God loves all his people, it is his followers that are the HATERS.

the rock of nea has quite a bit of racially mixed families. we have black and white families. we even have a white woman married to a mexican man. that has a mixed(black and white, from a previous marriage) we are a racially mixed congregation. but you will feel accepted. that's what got me. as soon as i walked in i felt accepted and loved. i could call a place home for once. i had friends there(now they are my best friends) i also got so much closer to god.
