I noticed when I was in there recently that there was alot of outdated product that had been marked down and the store was a mess and nasty. Are they closing?

After checking all the security tapes we have proof that you never came into the store. You are lying!

There is a reason they are called "stale stores".

But the birds like it, and I have NEVER gotten something so bad I couldn't eat it.

Bon appetit!

Unless it is rock hard or growing mold it's still good to eat. Most "expiration" dates are not when the product goes bad it's just when the product is not considered "fresh" after that date.

Agreed, My wife is pretty-old by most standards but I have been munching her muffin at least once a week for the last 30 years and neither of us are dead. Them numbers is just for anal retentive people and liberal democrats who feel everything must be controlled.
If it were left up to liberal democrats there would be no muffun munching in this country because all the muffins would have to be taxed and a politician would have to have their finger in each muffin.

I've been munching her muffin too. It does taste a little stale, so maybe the dates are on the money.

I went in there early one morning and they were picking mold off the hot dog buns and rebagging them for sale. I bought 5 bags for $1. Great deal.

There is some ppl who do go in there to buy the day old bread just to feed their animals pigs, dogs, doesn't mean u have to buy the old bread, they have FRESH BREAD too! They Have good deals On BIG racks 20.00 rack day out dated bread & out dated sweets! Its not a bad deal especially when u r feeding a LARGE family and animals too! These other (Wal-mart,Kroger, Bill's) places give their out dated stuff to the churches. GREAT JOB WONDER BREAD!!!

I always forget about that store. Do they still have a certain day of the week when they mark a lot of stuff down?

At the supermarket, notice the color of twisty ties on bread. Each color symbolizes what day it was dripped off. I will get exact details & post later. Also, try that chicken city store in the plaza behind Figi's. They have killer prices and sell the same as mcdonalds, wends, popeyes, sonic&burger king.

I buy the boneless skinless chicken breast at chicken city, but stopped buying the legs, bc several of them are broken, and no matter how hard I tried, I never could get all the bone pieces out of the food.
