What are you paying for Sirius/XM? Was told the sales reps will agree to drastic discounts before trial subscription expires.

It's true, but the state and local taxes still make it about $100. It's worth it, though, not to have to listen to 100.5!

I get 12 months + 4 months free for $49.99. So that's 16 months for $49.99, add in taxes and fees and it comes to around $60. They wanted to charge me something like $150 per yr, I think that's the standard rate but I told them my Xbox Live sub was only $50 a year and I used that way way more than I listened to the radio. That's when they offered me the deal I listed above.

Are youall talking about car? Or just in house. My bill for my car is always WAY high. They can never explain it,either. There are far too many channels that I don't want to listen to,I'm going to ask them for a reduced package or to pay per channel. It's nearly $200 a year.(not trial.)

They will ALWAYS start high. You just have to tell them things that they don't want to hear. I had 3 free months with my car purchase. I let it expire. Now came the mail. First it was 6months for 49.00. I just ignored and eventually they did 6 mo at 25.00. Now with this deal YOU have to call and cancel prior to the end or they will raise the rates. When I called, I told them that I would only settle for the same 25.00 deal. Of course they said no. I told them to turn it off. They then asked why. I told them I have Pandora that can Bluetooth on my radio so I would just listen to that. Then they started to counter offer but I did not budge. After they supposedly spoke to their supervisor, I received the same 25.00 deal. Just set a reminder on your calendar to call before the six months is up.

Mine is nearly $200 yearly as well. Called today and told them I wanted to cancel my subscription. They transfered me to someone and they offered me half off my bill for a year, thats only $90 a year and they are gonna send me back a refund for $90 because my subscription renued in January. The lady I talked to that gave that discount said to do it every time my subscription is due again, not to do the auto pay to renew it. She said they usually give out discounts like that not to lose anyones business. Heck I have had it for 4 years and I should have done this long ago, I have been paying almost $200 a year for 3 years. Try it, it might work for you too.
