It's bad in the sense it's easily addictive but no it's not as dangerous as the OxyContin and methodone unless u mix it or abuse it but if u take it as prescribed ur good

<quoted text>I feel your problems with your pain in life, but you are trying to say that Aleve works the same as hydrocodone in relieving pain? Ok. No. I've taken Aleve (naproxen) and all the other gut wrenching over the counter pain medications and none of them work as well as hydrocodone. The safe thing about hydrocodone is all it takes is just one pill for it to actually work.
Technically you said the same thing as I did. I have taken anti-inflammatories and otc medications in an attempt to not become dependent on narcotics. And yes Aleve does work in relieving pain and inflammation, however not similar to an opiate. Read the rest of the post. I have been taking two hydrocodones per day and have better pain relief as a result (Probably from actually sleeping an entire night). I do not disagree that opiates are better for relief than otc medications or any medication that affects the nervous system. I was simply trying to say, as an educated adult with a good career, I would rather deal with addiction and minor withdrawals to sleep great everynight and have the pain disappear quickly.

So are you saying that by taking an Aleve (naproxen) which lasts for a 12 hour half life in your system at the same time as when you take a hydrocodone extends the 4 to 6 hour half life of the hydrocodone in your system to 12 hours which results in you having to take just 2 hydrocodone a day instead of 3 or 4? I didn't know that you could extend the effect of one medication by taking it with another medication that has a longer half in your system.
