We went in for a late lunch/early dinner yesterday. No one was there. We have been several times. It is always clean, service is good for the most part. Food is good, not great. Used to be a fun bar crowd. Yesterday that weird red headed guy that never smiles was up everyone's butt. No one was smiling. We miss Christy and the people who always acted like they were glad you came. It would be ashamed if they closed because they have a lot to offer. We miss trivia and karaoke. Bartenders that joke and put on a show. Waiters that have time to joke. Hostesses that can linger a few minutes at the table. I am not interested in meeting management unless I have a problem. I liked it when the employees made us feel like friends. Whatever they are trying isn't working. Bring back the good times. The drinks are the highest priced in Jonesboro, need to offer something to make it worth the price!

I have to dissent. I'm not interested in bartenders who put on a show or waiters that tell jokes. And I certainly don't want the host or hostess hanging around my table. I just want good, courteous service in a professional environment. I have been to Bennigans in Jonesboro. The service was fine, but the food was pretty bad. I ordered fish and chips, btw.

. They will always leave you alone if that's what you want but it's a pub! It is supposed to be fun. What happened to the unexpected sing along? How about stump the bartender? I miss the fun of when they first opened. There are a lot of decent places to eat here. I thought something different was great.

If Bennigan's is a pub, I'm a astronaut. When a chain such as Bennigan's calls it's self a pub, they do so in the loosiest poetic license definition of the term. Perhaps your expectations are a bit much, your not in Dublin there mate ... it's Bennigan's, a bankrupt national chain that is lower on the totem pole than Ruby Tuesday's, TGI Friday's, or O'Charley's. Do you also expect to see giant live mice who play fun clown games at Chuckie Cheese? Bennigan's food is bland mediocre fodder at best, physical building is nice - as it should be since it's brand new, service is amature hour, and entertainment is like trying on a shoe that simply doesn't fit. Might as well suggest that Red Lobster have a band to "rock it out" like the seaside fisherman in the commercials. This Bennigan's is on it's 3rd general manager in less than 6 months and have gone through at least 2-3 entire changes in staff in the same amount of time for a reason ...

Well we are headed back tonight for a good burger and beer. It's not bad now just used to be more fun. If you don't like it then don't go.

I will be surprised if they are open in one year... Got to much money invested in old building and I am glad I'm not the bank with the note.

Wow, that's a lot like Pieros!! Oh wait, that's who's running the place. Why they thought that was a good idea, I'm not sure.

I love reading people's opinions of these downtown establishments. Not surprised on this one. Three managers in six months is crazy.

Place is terrible. Owner is a foreign piece of shit whom doesnt know how to run a restaurant. Been twice and will never go again. Horrible service. Tried charging my family 70 dollar cover charge one nite in order to walk in the door and eat. My kids are all under 16. He's lucky he has any teeth left after that fiasco.
I read in the paper's going out section that they charging a $5 cover from 8pm on just to come in and eat tonite and every Friday and Saturday nite! Are they trying to be a nite club?!?! It's so weird, imagine walking into a national restaurant chain like Olive Garden and there's a loud rock band playing? Hey y'all let's go to Ruby Tuesday's and P-A-R-T-A-Y maybe do some dirty dancing while June, Ward, and the Beav are having a family meal!

That's crazy. You're either a club or you're a restaurant and if you're a restaurant you don't charge a cover. And you don't blast music in my head while I'm eating even it is 8:15 Friday Night. Well at least you don't get my business I'll say that much.

Skinny J's, Cregans, Brick house, Vineo's and Godsey's have all charged covers too. I have left and gone someplace else several times when we went to one of them and didn't want to hear any band.
