What is the prices of Internet only from Suddenlink? Their site just wants to bundle it with everything. I am sick and tired of the sound cutting out on my cable and am really considering Direct TV.

Mine has doubled in price in the last 5 years and the speed is much slower.

How did that work out for you? I don't like any kind of bundling, but I'd sure like to dump Suddenlink cable. It's worse all the time, channels going out and "weak signals" and dropping the TV guide channel while charging more all the time. It's tripled the basic cable on us in three years and started charging us for "enhanced" basic cable without asking. I'm thinking about Direct TV, would drop it all together if my family wouldn't get hysterical. TV's nothing but crap in my estimation any more.

Best decision ever!
FWIW: Suddenlink jacked their Internet prices way up as of the 1st ofthe year, and I'm now paying $75 for 15mb service. ;-(

As much as I dislike sattelite tv, it is beginning to look like a more and more viable alternative to crappy cable. When you have 23 channels on basic and almost half are informational or religion, and you have 8 digital channels(the company says are incidental and not under their control), it becomes clear, you can have more channels and better viewing selections than cable. I am seriously thinking of, telling Ritter Cable, to go fly a kite.

Thanks so much for your input. Somebody told me about Netflix having TV now, too, for $8 per month. Suddenlink really needs to go. I miss my "free" antenna TV.

i cut my cable and only have internet service. can still watch all my favorite shows, though a day later and can stream the weather when it is bad. I do have netflix. Memphis news and weather can be streamed-Not sure if jonesboro does. Never could find a link.

netflix does have a lot of older tv shows. They usually run about a season behind. Give it the free trial and check it out. Amazon also has a 30 day free trial.

Suddenlink told me $37 on the phone, but when I actually cancelled the cable my Internet was $50. They didn't seem to care that I was originally told a lower price. I'm loving Directv and looking into switching to AT&T for Internet.

just remember, at$t does have caps so if you are a heavy internet user - be careful switching.

I'm having issues with suddenlink (who's not?!). I am in an area that sudden link has a monopoly on. AT&T is not available and neither is Ritter. Suddenlink will charge us $65 for Internet only (med speed). But I can get if for $35 if bundled with cheapest cable for the price of $31.50. Stupid. I'm fed up with the constant price increases and dumb bundling. I want options in Internet providers and I can't have any due to sudden links need to force business to come to them. Sigh. Sorry I just needed to vent.

SuddenLINK is getting way too expensive....I have bundled, but am getting hit with $149 monthly bill, because it raised $18 this month. I have expanded service, but it has the same shows in 3 different segments. So, I am thinking about calling direct TV for the cable and Verizon for the internet and phone, then I'll let you guys know what the price is then..........good luck finding a decent provider !! And it hurts when you are on a fixed income.
