I remember going there as a teenager when I first became a musician. There use to be an over weight guy that worked there and he was always mean as hell. Was that Jimmy?

my name is jason vaughan and jimmy was like a father to me. he told me well before he died that the name was mine if i wanted it. its my goal to continue his legacy . he has done more for musicians in this area than anyone. the music complex/jonesboro studio of guitar is alive . i have a repair shop in trumann and can still get anything anyone needs. we will have a new store front when finances permit it. until then u can email me at [email protected] to set up appointments.3160890 is our #.

Jimmy was a crook and a cocaine addict, which was the cause of his death. It's fine that you have fond memories of him, but your outright lying is offensive. No use talking about it, since Jimmy can't change and is not around to speak for himself. So why not just quit lying to try and promote your business ? It is making you look very bad.
Before Jimmy was addicted to cocaine, he was an average guy. Please allow us to retain that memory. Jimmy's dad was a big crook. Jimmy avoided following in his father's footsteps until he got hooked on cocaine.

No hater to it. It's obvious you are the one who needs to grow up. Everything I posted is 100% true. Anyone who actually knew Jimmy knows it's all true by experience. I knew Jimmy almost my whole life. I certainly don't hold any of it against Jimmy. We were always friends, regardless of his cocaine addiction or what his dad did. No doubt, you need to grow up.

I knew Jimmy really well for many years and yes he had a drug problem at times, and it takes a mean person to get on here in bash him and his deceased dad, Glen was very respected person in this town, so I gather you only knew Jimmy from a distance or else you yourself was a user of drugs. I pray when this happens to you someone dosn't get on here airing your dirty laudry for you kids or family members to read, you should take to heart He who has no sin let him cast the first stone..

Told ya. I can spot him anywhere. He monitors all the music threads to try to talk down other musicians and pump himself up. He is a sad sad pathetic excuse for a human. He even dishonored his own deceased brother. You can't get lower than that can you??

Well, Jimmy was certainly not without faults. And he did end up being a very overweight, unhealthy, addicted, recluse in his later life...
he was a cool guy, funny as hell and really was a good friend to a lot of us. I doubt there are many musicians in this town who haven't had a brush with drugs or other addictions. It seems to go with the territory. I don't see a point in trying to bring back the Music Complex though, because without Jimmy, and Leon McEntire, and Tony Spinner, it would never really be the Old Music Complex. Those of us who remember the original would never accept it as the same, and when the store finally dissolved it was not the same place, mostly a sad shell of the once great store on Southwest Drive. A name does not make a business, it is the people and their loyal customers. The young pickers in town have NO idea that the M.C. ever even existed, and the rest of us are waaaay over it. Jimmy had a great thing and let his excesses kill it, and then they killed him... like so many others around here (Gary Grace, Sean Lane, etc...). Music is a lifestyle, but usually not a healthy one. I think backbeat and All-Star are enough for this town. Others have made attempts, Guit-Down, Jonesboro Music Center, Dr. Tones, but where are they now?
DONE. Most of the music stores that fail in this area you can blaime 100% on BAD owners and management. Jonesboro can't support live music or music stores.. it's a losing proposition, save your money.
