My husband is looking into this company. How does your household run with your husband gone every other month?

I usually get a boy toy and a pocket rocket. Make sure you stock up on batteries. it also helps if you have a hot neighbor who works nights and is free during the day when the kids are in school.

You miss them while they are gone and enjoy them while they are home. My husband works out there. He gives me and the kids a good life and we love him for it!!

orientation is 4 days with a total pay of $290
7-10 training at $15 a day
Inexperienced deckhand start pay is $145 a day
Ingram slits pay in half meaning you make abou 72.50 a day when your 28 dayson and even when your 28 days off so you only actually work 6 months a year making $24,360.00-yearly

first you piss test thn you take a hair folicle test then a mouth swab and if its necc. blood test. they are very thorough with their background and drug tests they also do a thorough work history and reference lookup so in my opinion no they do not just hire anyone

What do experienced deckhands make with Ingram? I'm a relief mate with 5 years experience on the deck. Is the insurance good, reasonable price? What about steersman program?

Thanks for the answer but I'm not quite clear. First, I found an opening with Ingram that said 28 days on 28 days off. Has something changed recently or does it depend who's boat you're on? Next, I'm not sure when I earn the $8k a month when reading your response. Did you mean I have to work for 10 months before I make that a month or...Thanks for any information!

Ingram splits there pay...and you only work 6 months a year there so the pay isn't the best but it is good though....I worked on the river for 5 years worked line boats an I also worked the fleet me personally if I was to get back on the boat I wouldn't choose Ingram because they have more ridiculous rules than any other company an any body that works for Ingram will tell you the same thing....also if you have a life you better get ready to forget you sell your soul to the water...it is a job you either love it or hate I personally loved it...I have a great job now driving a truck home everyday but I still miss the water good luck future GREENHANDS
