That may be, but the season is only over for the piggies, not ASU. Don't get me confused with being an ASU fan, because I'm not. I'm not a hog fan either. I'm just tired of hearing all the pig fans belittle a team who is obviously smaller and not as competitive as UA. They were successful the last 2 seasons and the hogs sucked it up this year.[/QUOTE]
I can see how you would think someone could get you confused with an ASU fan.

A quote from Shakespeare comes to mind.

I know " if we only had Bobby we would of won it all",if Tyler wouldn't of gotten hurt we would of won.
Fact is y'all had a bad year and yes based on lasy yr y'all looked great coming in.
Another FACT, we are a small school in a small conference and we are trying like hail to grow.
We have had just 2 yrs of truly winning seasons in ages and we are proud of our team and our players.
I don't care what team you are for or what conference you are in you have to realize BOTH SCHOOLS have dealt with adversity this past year.
One groups of players figured out a way to pull together and beat the level of the competition that they played against and one group couldn't.
We HAD a coach with a big shovel of Bs and yes we bought in as a fan base and our players put in the Hard work of preparing to win.
Y'all got a clown with a ice cream truck and he truly feed them ice cream .
That's when someone should of pulled the plug!
Jeff Long appears to have hit a home run and there's no doubt the UofA will start winning again and that's good for our state.
Hopefully we will get a coach that will stay more than one year and we will continue to win but regardless, ill always be a fan of ASU.

Just be glad that was ULM that y'all were playing because if it would of been ASU we would of finished y'all off in regulation.
Tell you what I haven't said one word about asu and Gus leaving y'all like that. I actually feel kinda bad for y'all but comments like this makes me want to jump in a kick y'all when your hurting like so many of y'all have done hog fans on here. I will remain to be the bigger man for now though and remain silent on it.

So you dont mind getting beat by a teams 3rd string players by 60 , and love the fact you are beating teams like south Alabama that doesnt even have a football stadium , talk about how good you are for winning the sunbelt , the run arkansas down for getting beat by a sb team , so you are saying we should be ashamed of losing to a team in the conference that you are bragging about winning?

Ok, let me help you out with this 57 to 34 .
Now if Oregon has 57 and arkansas state has 34 the difference
Is ?

come on you can do this.

Hint you put 57 on top and then you subtract ( that means to take away )
34
And you get????

I guess it Behooves you to use the word Dummy when you are called Out on the fact that none of your Rhetoric or statements are based on facts but simply your Opinions.
Other words check mate, dumb a$$!

Yes or no? Do you agree that Oregon called off the dogs in the first half and could have scored on ASU all night long?

Oregon did indeed call off the ducks at the beginning of the 3rd.
Also if you are rational and actually watched them this yr they played the majority of their games by pulling the majority of their starters by the 4.
The exception would be the last few games of the year.
I have no false illusions of asu beating them or being in any position to win in any major conference.
They have been good at the level they play at the last two yes.
Furthermore Arkansas would beat us every time we step on the field up till this year!
But arkansas is not a dominate force in the country year in year out as they want to be.
Lets be real asu is the red headed step child in arkansas and the razorbacks are basically the red headed step child of the sec.

I will root for the players for both schools because they represent our state.
I will root for ASU because I live in Jonesboro, grew up and attended asu and met my wife at that school.
That school is a major factor in the survival and growth of not only Jonesboro but NEA.

You nailed it. Arkansas is the step child in the SEC. Will be nothing more until they get in a lesser conference. They'll never win in the SEC. Furthermore, if Arkansas had played Oregon this year, it would have been the same. Oregon would have been pulling their starters by half as well. Bottom line- ASU is at the top of a bottom conference and Arkansas is in the middle of the top conference. I would say that both are pretty even as far as play in the field this year. If they'd played, it probably would have been a good game. ASU is on the rise, Arkansas fell this year and will be better but never more than middle of the road SEC.

As an ASU fan, saying they're always middle of the road SEC is wrong. They won the west about 5 or 6 years ago and were 3rd in conference last year. They just aren't consistent.

I guess it comes down to whether you want to be a team that has the chance to play for the national championship, yes it's possible im the SEC, or in a conference where you can win it every year and go to a lower tier bowl? I think both fan bases are happy where they are, simple as that.

Vandy is the step child of the SEC everyone knows that. This whole notion that a "middle of the road SEC team" is a bad thing is ridiculous. Being a middle SEC team can get you ranked in the top 10, it can get you into a major bowl game including a BCS bowl. It can also get you big paydays and large television contracts. I can guarantee you that a lot of programs would trade places with Arkansas in a heartbeat if given an opportunity.

Agree with most of what you said. but.. Middle of the road doesn't get you a BCS, only the top 2 teams from the conference can get a BCS bid.

Arkansas was one win away from playing Alabama for the BCS Title last year.

Let's not just skip past that.

Arkansas found a coach? Didn't know that. Guess they were overshadowed by ASU news yet again...
