Thanks I've been trying to ignore the feelings lately, it's not about the physical part, just really think they are a good person.

I've had great relationships with coworkers but you just have to be a little more cautious. Don't rush in. Do you watch The Office? Do like Jim did with Pam.

I met my wife at work and we've been married for 12 years and have 2 kids together. That being said, I met my ex wife at another job and that didn't go too good. It's a toss up. Good luck.

All workplace cowards like to see something happen to somebody else that they would not like for themselves. If you ask this co-worker out and that co-worker says no then leave it at that and don't harass that co-worker and have that co-worker harassed by other cowards because that co-worker did not want to go out with you. Be ethical about it. It makes for a much more comfortable workplace.

Don't do it. It usually ends up in a break up. Coworkers love the gossip. You are often accused of slipping off somewhere to make out even when you didn't. And then having to see them everyday after the break up is pretty rough for a while.

The way a person acts at work is probably not the way they act at home. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

It can be awkward even if you never even went out with the person just because of all the rumors from the cowards that you did go out with the person.

Unless it's just a damned awesome job, go for it! Life's to short not to pursue possible connections. Keep it professional at work and pursue any romantic pursuits after hours. Many people meet their life partners at work others create a drama and lose their jobs. How you go about it determines that. Go for it!

So you are saying that a person should be fired for not going out with a co-worker who pursued them and the co-worker and the people that co-worker knows should spread false rumors about the pursued and say the pursued went out with the psycho pursuer anyway? Wouldn't that be harassment out of the pursuer and the people the pursuer is in good with who got the victim of harassment fired?

No, I didn't say any of that. I was just saying if they both like each other to pursue it. Not sure where all that other stuff came from you're talking about unless I misread the thread.

I'd rather not say where I work because it is a small place. He is not married and I believe the feelings are mutual. I will just see what happens and if he makes a move.
