Just curious if anyone knows if Nordex is hiring yet for the new plant? I check their website daily but haven't seen anything. Are they working with any of the employment agencies around here? Thanks.

Nordex will not make it here in Jonesboro. The jobs they offer require skill, attendance, and the basic want to put out a true quality product. This area is better of building there raggedy azz conveyors that work only 35 percent of the time when they are installed. The craftsmanship is shotty also.I give them 5 years tops before they move up north to a superior workforce.

Wow...have you ever even worked before? Most businesses are moving from the north to the south because they can hire skilled workers for less pay and more productivity. Nordex is considered a green job. If Obama has it his way, then this place will be here for a long time. If certain legislation does not pass, the place might not finish being constructed.

Dear Start,

Why don't you move up north? You cannot generalize like that...so not true!

There isn't a workforce up north, all the yankees have moved here and guess what? They're still unemployed because of their pissy attitudes. Welcome to Arkansas LOSER! You should have left your attitude up NORTH and then you could probably get a job here instead of lying about unemployment, laying around all day and smoking pot. No way you're going to apply anywhere now...until you get reported. Yeah, I know who you are!

That's just sad, how long ago was that? I haven't seen anything from the south moving north for years. The northern states have it much worse than we do here.

Nordex should be hiring this month or next month. They are going to post the jobs on the nordexusa website first. If they don't get enough applications there, then they will use indeed and the workforce. 4 months ago the head of HR in jonesboro told me that they would be hiring in approximately february. Well the end of february is almost here so it shouldn't be very much longer. A month or two at most I would guess.

They will not be hiring. It's gonna be storage for one of their other plants.

Nordex is not a storage plant. We are a very large producer for windmills. We do not store at all for any of our other plants. In fact we are building and sending to our other plants. All but about 7 that we build get sold. We only hold a few over for the next year. If you are able to get on here you should really take the opportunity. They try and not hire temps that way they do not have to lay off. They also keep the workforce low that way they will never have to lay off..

The company is not going anywhere. They have had their issues with past managers and so on but have most of that sorted out now.

But no at the moment if you look at the website they only have a couple open positions in jonesboro. They have more in Chicago but that place is just offices .
