They will screw you over and take your money! It takes months to get furniture from them. Its ridiculous to wait that long for any furniture. Bottom line - don't even go in that store and give them the time of day.

I totally agree. For the very first AND last time, I bought furniture from them and it literally took months to get everything. Complaining does little good, although I was promised a $100 gift card from the manager for my trouble, I got a gift card for $50 in the mail. I won't ever buy anything else from them and will toss the gift card in the trash.

One reason it takes a little bit longer to get the furniture is because they are actually having to make it to fill your order.(so they claim anyway)

I wasn't pleased that it took quite some time to get the furniture we bought but we are pleased with what we received.

I agree that "complaining" or even inquiring about your situation with one of the young ladies at the front desk is an absolute waste of time. They were very rude and either lied or put me off with little or no concern. The no cancellation policy gives them the authority to act however they want. Not happy you have to wait months for your purchase? Too bad...you're still paying for it.

While I'm very happy with our furniture I'll probably never buy there again. We've bought everything else in our house from Hanks and will probably buy whatever else we want from there as well. We've bought three beds, dining room set, office furniture, bedroom set, and a living room set (which we were replacing) from Hanks and received everything within days and it's lasted quite well.

Maybe Ashley's will get better once they settle in. They do have some nice things to offer and I tried to be very understanding about the wait but after spending well over $3,000 on one item I would have expected better service.

When we got ready to leave, the 1st time we went there, the saleslady said "Please ask for her if we came back in because she had to feed her family." I will NEVER go back in.

Find this hard to believe, since they have not been in Jonesboro for several months yet.

If you see something you like in the store you should call Candace's in Lepanto. She just got me furniture for my whole house and I saved at least 2000.00 dollars. Its all Ashley brand she just beats their prices.

I wish I would have known that before we went in. I swear they've been open longer than 45 days too. We bought our furniture in early February as a Valentine's gift and didn't receive it until more than a month later.

I bought dining room furniture there and was extremely pleased. The furniture was a great price, for the quality-very heavy and sturdy. It was delivered in 2 weeks, and the delivery guys were great. They took great effort to not mark the furniture and cleaned up after themselves. I was very impressed and plan to shop there again.

I absolutely agree. I finally emailed the mayor, the attorney general, the chamber of commerce and filed a complaint with the better business bureau. They have now decided to give me my money back when they first said their policy was to only give store credit. And they wanted to charge me a 20% restocking fee. I have a $25 gift card they sent me for my trouble and I refuse to go in that store to use it.

I was shopping for a table several weeks ago. We went in and walked around found one we had a question about but couldn't get any help. Maybe 5 customers were in the store counting us with employees everywhere! They were to busy talking to each other or on the phone. I prob. would of bought the table if we could of got some help!

Hanks is not Amy better. My family ordered some furniture from Hanks a few years ago. They never even placed the order. Then when we inquired about the status they lied. We finally had to go to the store. They wanted us to wait a month and tried to say that they could not give us a refund. We gave them an ultimatum, either give us the money within 5 days or be sued. We probably would not have gotten the money, but the person that was with us worked in the legal field so they knew it was not an idle threat and we got our money.

I think some folks have a bird brain and birds have extremely small brains. Anyway, the workers of Ashley's furn. store tell you UPFRONT that your furniture is made and shipped DIRECTLY from the warehouse. Common Sense should tell you that it will take over six weeks to make and prepare shipment. However, Ashley furn. store has plenty in stock so you should be able to find something in the store. But it's disgusting to slam a business that is supplying jobs to real families just because you don't understand the process! I can tell that most of you rarely have anything custom made. I'm amazed that some of you think that a business can custom make a living room set in 7 days.....what a joke!

My wife purchased a table from them that was not in stock at the store. They said the would have to check the warehouse, and if it was there, they would call and let us know we could go pick it up. If it wasn't, it would be ordered from Memphis and sent to the Jonesboro warehouse, where we could pick it up. We were told it appeared to be in stock. My wife left the store, and before she made it home, she received a phone call that said they actually had it in stock at the store and to come pick it up. She went back up there, and was told that they didn't know why she was called, because they were sure they didn't have it. She was sent to the warehouse, because if she got a call, it had to be there, not at the store. So she went to the store. She was told they didn't have it either, and she was actually called from Memphis, who thought she lived there. Over the next three weeks, we received five phone calls that told us our furniture was ready to be picked up at the jonesboro warehouse, when, in fact, it turned out to still be waiting in memphis. Four weeks later, we got another call that said it was ready to be picked up at the jonesboro warehouse. After getting someone to comfirm that they themselves were actually standing in front of the table and was actually AT the jonesboro ware house, we went to pick it up. It didn't have our bloody name on it; instead, it had someone's name who apparently bought it the day before. We demanded it be given to us and him be put on the neverending waiting list. We got our damn table and assured them they would never have our business again.

When I purchased the furniture, I was given a date and the lady said that it rarely takes that long to get the furniture. Little did I know, that they're reputation is that it actually takes much longer than the given date - which is what happened in my case. They actually keep very little stock in their warehouse, which is not a very smart business concept in my point of view. When I found out my furniture was going to take much longer than expected, I went back into the store to see if I could find something in stock that I could get sooner. NOTHING was in stock. I don't need 'custom' furniture, I want it just like it looks on the floor. I went to the Great American Homestore, spent 5000 on new furniture and had it in 4 days. That's a smart business concept - not a joke. Ashley makes wonderful furniture, but the Homestore needs to rethink how they handle their business.

They're supplying jobs to people who have no qualms about lying to their customers to make a buck.

They give you a date, which I assume they pull out of their ass, and they know that date has no relevance as to when you actually get your furniture.

You've pretty much got to wait until the little asian kids sow the material together for you furniture, give it to bigger Asians to put on a boat, and then have it shipped over here by would be pirates, and then once in America the pre-sown fabric is used and assembled over the already made furniture in minutes by folks at a factory.

It's then sent to a warehouse where it may come to you so long as a customer demanding the furniture be delivered tomorrow or there's no deal doesn't show up and grab your table, sofa, bed, etc away from you.

I love what we got but I'll probably never ever shop there again. Absolutely terrible customer service from all points. Super nice when your looking and buying but once we signed I could say among the worst service I've ever encountered.
