Are you speaking of the same Steve Hudson nicknamed "Hud"
Yes I remember him playing Softball with Bale Chevrolet and when he hit the ball he busted the seams on the ball. I know this. cause I played left field when he hit a ball to me, and threw the ball back in during a tournament.

Saw Sullivan get the tip against Hayes. I think Hayes was actually listed at 6'9" & and size 17 shoe. Rook, Pruitt, Sweeney, Burk, etc. etc. all outstanding, Harold Callahan was no slouch (being only 5'8" and slam dunking it left and right) but only Milton could fly!!!

P.S. Got off track, sorry...Rook = Nettleton, Callahan = Hoxie. Believe others were Jonesboro but Milton is still entered into orbit!:-)

Clay Holt is certainly worth mentioning, I'd say Ali Thompson was the best (most athletic) since the 90's. Garner/Bolding and Drum, no doubt, have marked their place in JHS history. Joe Lee, whom I didn't get to see play very often, was some kind of athlete! Don't forget about upcoming Junior, Marquise Bryant...he can play!

Milton Sullivan. Seems like I remember something that either almost ended or did end his chances at playing pro ball. He had gotten into some trouble with the law and got shot. Anybody remember what happened?

Steve Nash was the best player to ever come out of that region, bar none. If you didn't see him play, you're talking out of your ass.

pruits ultimate nightmare was the one and only year, the first year of the new high school when they went with middle school and they divided up the 9th graders into two teams george fraiser and pruit were the two 9th grade coaches. pruit lost the coin flip on first pick and fraiser got drum, i wasn't that bad but i was no rob drum it took pruit about three or four games to get over it enough just to play me like he should and did. ask him.
I do remember Milton Sullivan but he played for Booker T. Washington before intergration. First black player at ASU.
