I'm glad to see a bills coming to the southside of town. . Their meat is the best in the Jonesboro area. Their prices are competitive with other grocery stores.I've heard it's opening before Christmas. Someone that works for Bills said it's going to be about the same size store as Hilltop with a great selection. HURRA, WON'T HAVE TO GO TO A Kum AND GO , OR HAYS, OR kROGER. i HATE wAL-MART.

I live at Hilltop and our Bill's is wonderful. It saves a trip into town. I also hate Walmart. It is nice to actually be able to speak to someone behind the meat counter or to have something cut to order. Bill's has a pretty wide variety of items. Enjoy your new grocery store!

I ran into Bill at Home depot today. He is building the store for sure. He sais it will be open by the end of the year. Also, white river medical is building a new clinic next to the store. I think it's great to have one of their stores on our side of town.

Here's hoping they stock the store with some stuff that's not about to expire. I shop there sometimes but you always have to check the labels. All to often I've found expired or about to expire products. Not just dairy products and such but lunch meat, cookies, cereal, etc...stuff at other stores that would have expiration dates a year away probably as opposed to a couple of weeks away.

I complained about it to management a couple of times and those products would be usually be removed. But I'm still thinking he must get a lot of his products at a discount warehouse where other stores send their old products.

As a test use your little handy smart phone and snap a picture of the cereal boxes or something like that with a certain prize or the expiration date on it. Then compare it to what you see at Bills today. Then in a couple of months look again. Chances are Bill's will finally have that old box from Kroger and Kroger will have something new. The expiration dates will be a greater difference than 3 months on most products.

But, I still like the store. I just don't buy perishables like meat and dairy there.

For an even bigger shock, check the Orange Joice. Their Simply Orange OJ is almost always a couple of days from expiring if not expired. Then compare to what you see at Kroger or WalMart. MONTHS not days of a difference.

Once again, I've addressed Bills Management about it and last year I even called their little home office and the guy that answered claimed he handle it.

You must know Bill because your previous post about the meat is total BS that place has got to be the worse place in town to purchase meat.

The only reason to go into that store is to pick up 1 or 2 items that you forgot to purchase at Wal-Mart. The price is unreal. Cereal averages $1.50 more per box than at Wal-Mart. Coke at Bill's right now is $3.99 per 12 pack. Coke is on sale for $5.00 a 24 pack at Wal-Mart. I find it hard to believe the store is still in business with the outragious prices and out of date products.

It is true. I'll pick up 1 or 2 things I need on a weekend to avoid all the ignorant unwashed people at WalMart (oh, the humanity), but Bills prices are worse than Kroger. One thing I will say for Bills though...he carries items I like that no other store carries. I will pay extra for something I really like.

you might better check the expiration dates on some of WAL Mart's products, they're not the most current on stuff, either.
I've always found that the meat Dept.at Bill's is one of the best.It will not be much further for me to travel than to go to WalMart,so,I for one,am glad. Also before, when my husband had to get something on the way home from work,he had to reroute himself all the way around in town to a store, this will be a lot handier.

Yes the prices are unreal at Bill's! I'm amazed at the people who use their food card at Bill's on Fisher Street. Don't they have a clue that their food card could purchase more at other places?

Dont be going all rational on us. Some of us have to shop at the local store. No transportation to anyplace else. So you pay what they charge.
