My daughter had a bad experience there today!! They had her cryin her eyes out, yellin at her in that room back there!! She was cryin for me and they wouldnt come get me!! The didnt numb her mouth enough and she tried to tell them and they basically told her she was lyin that she wasnt hurtin or feeling a thing!! When really she felt every damn thing and was in major pain!! And when asked about what happened they denied everything!! I will never let my kids step foot in that place ever again!!!
I dont see why they dont let parents back there to begin with! I guess cause of what happened today! so they can lie their way through it all!! well sorry ocean dental I will be calling home office again in the morning and I AM filing a complaint!!
I do NOT recommend them to anyone!! If you wont let a parent back there even when their child is crying their eyes out then you are a horrible dental clinic!!!

Ocean Dental is a great place to go, dont know what your damn problem was but those ladies are good people and the are so good of what they do. The doctors are awesome n the would never treat your child that way, if your child wanted you they would have taking care of the situation, so before you start running your mouth and try to ruin this business READ THIS!!!! PARENTS LIKE YOU NEED TO GROW UP GET OVER IT N GET ON!!!!!!!!!!SOMETIMES ITS THE PARENTS ATTITUDE THEMSELVES SO HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF DRAMA MAMA?!?!?!

I take my children there. If my daughter told me that is had happened to her I would be the same way. Any parentwould. Why would her child lie about it? I have had no problem at all. Everyone seen nice enough and my children like the dentist room with the tv's. I think you MoMof1 are over reacting just a little here. If it was your child you also would be upset.

We took our 5 year old to Ocean. Big mistake! She did the same thing. Cried, and faught tooth and nail. They said they would be unable to finish and she would need sedation. Then Ocean told us we'd have to take her to Paragould. I took it upon myself to call other doctors. Within 20 min. I had her an appointment with Dr. Oliver. She's been to Dr. Oliver 2 times since her ordeal with Ocean. Everyone is wonderful at Pediatric Dentistry, and we won't set foot back in Ocean!

Your right some kids do have problems but doesnt this give you a hint that they have to go to Oliver because they "have to be" medicated! So im taking that some kids is just hooked on medication all togehter because they wouldnt go to olivers with out sedation. Im not over reacting thank you very much. you have to admit if ocean dental was not doin there job they wouldnt have a 100% profit

LOL no Ocean said she'd have to be medicated, but infact Dr Oliver was able to do all of her work without "having to be medicated", just thought you'd like to know!

Dr Oliver does not medicate , unless he has too . He is a wonderful doctor, Sedation is almost always due to the parent asking

Good grief, you are proof that they will let anyone be a parent. If your intention is to help Ocean, you might want to keep your opinions to yourself because frankly you just sound stupid.

Yes they get excited to go to dentist because I like most parents haven't taught them to be afraid of the dentist!! I dont tell my kids "its going to hurt" or "your going to get a shot" or "they're going to pull all your teeth out"!!!! Parents are the reason why children are afraid of the dentist, because they (the parent) have had a bad expeirence themselves.

That's exactly what a dentist needs; a parent in with the child to advise him/her how to do dentistry. If the parent knows so much, why donate to the dentists' children's college fund? Stupid parent.

Well mom of 2kids...u must work there or something!! and just a little FYI!! Ive already called home office in Oklahoma and guess what this isnt the first time they've had a complaint!! My kids are NOT scared of the dentist!! And I was just fine with that place until they opened the door for my daughter to come in the waiting room and she was crying like crazy holding her mouth sayin it hurts mom!! Now tell me you smart a** how the hell would you react if your child came out cryin, sayin it hurts, and that the ladies yelled at her??? Hmmm...any GOOD parent would go back there and talk to whomever it was that made her child cry!! and for them not to even let me talk to the lady that did it well that right there tells me they was hidin something!!
And another FYI!!! This is topix...everyone puts their opinions on here..hello wake up!! Why are you on here?? hmmm to give your opinion!! Well i will give mine and if you dont like it then dont click on the link!!
To all the other parents that has had the same experience as I did...I'm sorry it happened to you too and im glad im not the only one that feels this way about that place!! I dont see why they would have to sedate any child for dental work..if they would let parents back there then the kids wouldnt be so scared!! I will never take my children to another dentist that will not let me go back there!! and as for the lady that did this i hope they fire her a**!!! im sorry but you just dont yell at my child and not come get me when she is crying for me and just think im gonna sit back and let you do that!! hell no!!

no not to advise the dentist but to be there for support for my child so that she isnt scared or when she says she still feels the whole thing being done makin the dentist realize it and not just tell her that she is lyin that she is numb enough when she wasnt!!!
how would you feel if you was in that chair and the dentist didnt numb ur mouth enough and they did fillings and pulled a tooth???
hmmm...wuldnt like it would you?? so what is it any different??

My kids aren't afraid to go to the dentist and they go every six months but they don't get excited about it. If they ever do get excited over a trip to the dentist, I think when I leave there I'll take them to a shrink.

Good for you. You love your child and you stood up for her. Not all parents do that. I don't know how old your little girl is but I've been taking my son to Dr. Troy Bartels since he was 4 years old and he is almost 10 now. The first few times, I went back there with him until he got used to everyone and he has been going back by himself since he was 5. HOWEVER, the door to the exam room is always left open and I have the option of going and checking on him at anytime - no questions asked. Plus, I can hear him if he gets upset. I'm glad you called and reported them and even though it won't take back what your daughter went through (and I wish it could) maybe it wil keep another child from going through the same thing.

Yes I do love my kids very much. They are my world!! My daughter is 9. and ive been to bartels once with both my children and they didnt care for him too much. ive got another dentist lined up for them..and they will not be goin back for a long time til i know they will be ok and comfortable with it. im sure my daughter is gonna be scared of dentist for a while now.
Oh i was on the phone calling their home office as soon as i got in out in the parking lot! and im giving it a few days and im calling again to see what they are doing about what happened! and i hope no other kids will go thru what my daughter did too. and if for some reason it does....i hope the mother or father of that child stands up to the people like i did.
