I just bet the owner of select seconds will be on topix very soon to answer your question.

If she doesn't why not call her and ask if that other joint is putting out of business.

Of you had visited both places you would know that the each cater to a total different clientèle.

So I doubt if it is a problem. I would lay money on Plato going out of business before Select Seconds.

Platos is in a very high rent district. They have a crappy parking area and the cater to narrow demographic. It a hard place to get in and out of and the 5 guys customers hog the parking spaces.

I was in there last Saturday and the owner was screaming and cussing so inappropriately that I took my kids and left. She even followed someone into the parking lot yelling and cussing. I will not go back. My Money will not support that behavior, local business or not.

Try getting lawsuit filed based on a Topix post. Not gonna happen. They aren't going to answer to a subpoena based on slanderous hearsay. Now threats to life maybe.

One of my employees told me this was on here, and as much as I hate to have to get on Topix (honestly I don't have time for this) But I want to let everyone know that the woman yelling was not me, but a woman that works for me on Saturdays. I want to apologize to the customers who had to witness that (sorry I wasn't there that day) but I heard about it and it should have never happened. She apparently got into an argument with another employee who is no longer working there. She admitted to "being a little louder than she should have" but swears that she didn't use profanity. I know she talks loud anyway so if she was louder than usual then it was probably pretty bad. I am trying to be there more on Saturdays so hopefully this kind of thing will not happen again. I hope you'll come back in and give us another chance. I've been working day and night on re-arranging the store but it's finally finished. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but sometimes it's hard to figure out what type of layout will work and I'm trying to utilize the space most effectively. It's really looking good and we have everything very clean and organized to make shopping easy and enjoyable for you. I've been doing this for 17 years and I'm not perfect, but I try really hard and I'm doing the best I can.

I do shop and also consign some of my thing there, I have to say I really like it, and it is clean and organized. You cannot move in Ritzi Rags, and some of the other places price their things much too high. Also not very many places carry my size which is a 14, so a larger size but I have great luck at Select Seconds. As far as the parking lot incident, if you have ever owned or managed a business you know this can and does happen anywhere, when you have employees and customers sometimes things get crazy and the owner can't help that until after it happens. I think this is a very classy and fun place to shop and I go there all of the time. Hats off to Mrs. Select Seconds. Also, this place DOES pay you for your stuff when it sells!! The only thing I don't like is having to wait so long for an appointment to get my stuff in when I have things to sell.

That place is a joke and as far as the owner doing anything, all she does is sit on her fat ass. everytime i go in there she is rude and I even quit going because of it last time i was in there a lady was complaining because they lost her stuff and i heard one of the employees telling them they have had people calling all day asking why their stuff was not on the floor yet that they brought in 3 months ago. you cant sale anything there because they are losing it. she needs to shut her doors or get off the pills she is on

I was in there a few days ago myself and the place was such a mess the only thing you could look at was the makeup and the shoes looked like they should be put in the trash, instead they were around 15 dollars a pair and were falling apart. What is going on in there? I haven't been to Platos yet but will visit the store before going back to SSeconds.

Bought a couch from Select Seconds an employee assisted me loading couch onto truck and the employee became inpatient began shuffing the couch forcing it and causing a severe rip in the material. Select Seconda refused to rectify the situation not even discount the price of 600.00! I never ever shoppef there again due to the lack of compliance for the damage caused by their employee.

I dropped off my clothing over 8 months ago.. It's apparently still lost. They never return phone calls.. I believe they need some new employee's or they just need to go out of business. They act like they don't care at all. I would of been better off just having a garage sale.

No, you just reserve your lies, rudeness, and insults for phone conversations with your customers. I'd like to chalk up my bad experience as a one time thing, but apparently I'm not the only one in Joneboro who thinks you and your husband have unethical business practices.
Maybe you should read all of these negative comments and take a long hard look at yourself. It's customers who make or break a business and if you bite the hand that feeds you, well...

What husband? She's been married three or four times. But she's not married now. Hasn't been for a couple years.
