I guess you are right. Had to look it up since you failed to provide a source.

I was under the impression that the number 1 team in the conference was supposed to play in new orleans and the number 2 team was supposed to be in mobile. That is also what just about every bowl projections is indicating. Instead they are giving it to the number 4 team in the conference. Interesting...

Makes me wonder if ASU wins next week if they will play in a bigger bowl than mobile.

The only people that care if ASU wins is ASU fans. A Louisiana team is going to the New Orleans Bowl because they want to make money and fill the stadium up. It's unfortunate, but ASU can't do that. Remember how the stands looked last year in Mobile? ASU just isn't on the map yet and until they get into a better conference and beat some quality teams they never will be. ASU needs to be looking into a new conference and playing some tough opponents. They might can do it but we may never know.

Exactly! It was NEARLY filled. A stadium the size of JHS was nearly filled with ASU fans. I was there also and that's pathetic. We should be able to fill up War Memorial with standing room only but we can't.

Folks in Mobile were very impressed with the ASU fans turn out & were already talking with ASU about returning after the game last year if they were bowl eligible.

Asu players have been told that if they win out, both the Liberty Bowl & Music City bowl are possibilities. The Compass Bowl in Birmingham & the Independence Bowl in Shreveport are possibilities as well according to ASU administrators.

Maybe you was under the influence cause Ladd Peebles is bigger than our stadium holds 40,646 so it's no comparison to JHS.

Not going to Liberty Bowl it will be Ole Miss vs CUSA winner Tulsa or UCF. Music City is SEC vs Big Ten. Don't know about Birmingham but looks like Ladd Peoples Stadium again.

The only people that care if any team wins are the team fans. Further, ULL did not fill up the Super Dome, they didn't even come close. Part of what makes a bowl successful is people coming and staying in hotels and ULL doesn't stay the night in New Orleans. I'm not saying ASU would sell out the Super Dome, but they'd do as well as ULL.

Im an asu fan , always have been , always will be. Until our deadbeat "fans" get off their wallets and start going to some games we are going to be the laughing stock of the state , the idiots up on hill can lose every game and still have a higher percentage of fans show up , and they are not handing them out for free to local day cares to give to the parents , I tell ya that much right there is fore sure

I don't disagree with you. People in Jonesboro need to get out and go to the games instead of complaining about what they don't have. Arkansas does have a higher percentage of fans show up but they are fair weather fans too. They haven't been full too many times this season. If you compare them to Tennessee, where they are complaining that the attendance is down to an average of a little over 91K. Arkansas is not even coming close to that.

Arkansas puts almost as many fans in the stands in one game than ASU does all season. Don't say it bc Fayetteville is bigger. People drive from all over the state to go to a hogs game. It is what it is. It's been like that forever and will continue like that for years to come

Of course we're not. Our stadium isn't that big.

And despite that, we were still top-25 in total attendance (in spite of the dismal record), and averaged 95% capacity over the entire season.

You're a clueless dumb bastard. ASU leads the league in attendance through five home games this year while averaging 25,000+ per game. Five x 25K+= 125,000+

Tell everyone ONE single home game the piglets had "almost" 125K people at you moron.

Amend the original statement to "two games", and it becomes quite accurate.
