I know one of the people who work there and I wonder if they should be admitted there.

I work in Jonesboro in a related field and learned that they are having financial trouble. I think it has to do with their mismanagement because you know times like these people are getting depressed and need mental health help.

I know for a fact one of the people working with the children had charges pressed against them for revealing themself to 3 children and now is adopting one of the kids in the system .Sounds like someone needs to do better back ground checks.

The man concerned is referring to has NOT had charges pressed, it is under investigation. Background checks and child maltreatment investigations are done on all foster parents and the man in question does NOT have a criminal background. I know for a fact MS knows and is going to remove the child even though the guy hasn't had criminal charges pressed because they are concerned for the child. For the record, they are not going belly up. Get your facts straight before you slander someone.

My husband works for Mid-South. No, they don't pay all that great, but it is good for the experience. He enjoys the people he works with. It is a bit different when you get up to the case managers/therapists/doctors. It sounds to me as if some people just had a crappy case worker or therapist really. My husband is great at what he does! It is the same no matter where you go....some are good some aren't worth it! As for some of the people who work there needing to be committed.....everyone has their problems ya know? Some people get medicated for it. The difference is the people who have the money or the family to help them (moral support wise) aren't part of Mid-South seeing as it is a state funded facility. Really, it isn't any different than going to a private doctor/psychologist.

I work for MidSouth and I will be the first to admit I could make twice as much some where else and have worked for other companies over the years but I choose to work for Midsouth for the program I work in is a good environment and happiness means more to me then money, I love were I am placed and the people I work with. Every agency has its downfalls and its "crazy" people. Don't lump us all together as bad.
