Don't ever let them in your home, you will never get rid of them! My suggestion is, if you're a Christian, then witness to them...they don't want to hear the truth.

I would say they're some sort of a cult, but by all means they don't worship Satan. They just hold themselves to very strict moral codes and ethics. You know, kind of like don't do anything unto others that you wouldn't want them to do to you. You know, there are a lot of trashy stankin gorillas who say bad things to people and treat people how they wouldn't want to be treated. There are other people who do this also and then waddle off like a penguin as if they've really done something big. I can see why they don't celebrate Halloween since Halloween originally was based on pagan witchcraft Satanic beliefs. They don't celebrate Christmas either though...maybe it's because some people believe that the day we celebrate Christmas isn't the actual day Christ was born. They still believe in salvation though.

Why would you even ask that question? Are you a Christan? Why do you think your religion is right an theirs is wrong? They believe the BIBLE an are actually doing as they are told spreading the word. And if you tell them you are not interested they will ask if you would take the book,an I have an if you read them they believe just as we do.....So why would you call them a cult????

Why does your religion haft to be the truth? I think as long as we believe in the Bible an try to interpret to the best of our knowledge, we will all be OK.

I can agree with this. There does seem to be more and more people out there who will laugh at you and put you down and say something's wrong with you for being a good moral christian person who isn't an immoral person who does trashy immoral things. This is called persecution. Is this a sign of the times?

They are not bad......occasionally I talk to them.....and they invite me to their meetings....I always politely. They like to talk about religious philosophy. But they don't come around all of the time.....they did for a while, than they kind of dropped off. They seem like nice enough people....it's just not for me. Occasionally, I will find a copy of their newsletter thing on my front porch.

you guys are way off base, they aren't a cult, they follow the bible, yes the Holy Bible. They don't follow Man's word, just the Bible. They might do as the "world" does but the Bible says to be no part of the world. When they come to your home they are coming to spread the good news that there is hope for this life and the life after. Most people who say bad things about them really don't know anything about them hey are just repeating gossip they have heard. Talk to one and you might just learn what the bible really says and not what someone tells you it says.

They dont celebrate birthdays either. They believe Heaven is full and they want to be in paradise which will be here on earth. They dont believe in a burning hell, they believe if you go to hell you will just be sleeping. They dont celebrate Easter either. About the only thing they celebrate is wedding anniversarys. They dont like to socialize outside their belief. I have relatives that are Jehovahs Witness.

You may not but I have baptists knocking on my door every week or leaving pamphlets on my door or in the mail, 3 or 4 of those a week.

It is not a cult, just different from what you may know! And yes the socialize outside of their belief, one of my closest friends is jw, and i am baptist. It does not affect who she is, I have actually asked questions on why they have different customs and when she explained reasons why, it made sense.

They do not believe just as "we" do. The people who come to your door dont even think they are going to heaven. They are working to get their 144,000 leaders into heaven. Lifeway store across from the mall has some very good factual literature on the subject you should check it out.

Yes, Jehovah's Witness is a cult! I know, I was involved in it! If I didn't bang on doors and sell a certain quota of books, I was kicked out! They do not believe Jesus was the Son of God, and if you are only one of the 'lucky' ones to make it to heaven you were safe, if not, you are dead and I mean dead! I learned a better way of life and now I have eternal life in Jesus Christ!

Mormons! I used to be one of them, even went to NZ on my mission and hated every second of it! The whole time, Kiwis (New Zealanders) would tell us their side of the story about us Yanks that was horribly truthful and hurtful. It made me realize that this U.S. made up cult was not for me and not the way I needed to live. Now, they have a strong hatred for me since I've left, and almost as aggressive as those scientology failures that zapped Cruise's brain and now sucked Katie up too. And if they ever find out who posted this, they will have a Mormon party van come get me with guns n crap, take me out to the woods and I'll never be seen again. They kidnapped my sister back in '93 for almost 2 weeks when we lived in Washington too!
I dunno about the sect in Jonesboro, but all the other cities that I've been in, they've all been the same.

BEWARE! CUIDATE!
