Let me get this straight......we passed a health care plan written by a committee whose chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it, to be signed by a president that also is exempt from it and hasn't read it and who smokes, with funding administered by a treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, all to be overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that's broke.

What the hell could possibly go wrong?

lol i dont think its that serious. im fairly certain almost all of the bills passed havent been read thoroughly if at all. the healthcare bill was at first an attempt at universal healthcare, who knows what it is now. i dont agree necessarily wiith it i think since healthcare is a permanent commodity it should be better regulated by the government because its expensive for no reason.not make everyone pay for insurance. but i believe insurance is one of the most ridiculous ideas ever anyway. but u sound like an obama hating christian republican so i doubt theres a point in an actual discussion.

I have a point. I was booted off my husbands insurance by a legal loophole. I have SLE Lupus. It is a very severe case. I cannot find health insurance that would not leave us homeless. I costs too much. I've been digging in the Obamacare plan. I cannot find anywhere that the insurance companies cannot charge $5,000 a month to insure me. Just that they cannot turn me down. I also cannot find what was already there. You have to be on that insurance, paying that ridiculous premium for 12 months before they will cover your pre-existing condition. Mine is killing me slowly, but not slowly enough to get the medical care I so desperately need. I have a little girl. She needs me. What am I supposed to do?

what we are supposed to do as citizens, is stand up and say this is ridiculous. to fight against the powers that be. as i said i believe the real problem is that insurance exists period. it costs extra money if you actually need it, and if you have it for awhile and then need it your rates go up. healthcare shouldnt be so expensive also. what makes it different than any other business that it is allowed to charge so much for simple things. x-rays and mris and other tests cost thousands of dollars when really it only costs pretty much the electricity it takes to run it. but as far as your personal situation i would try to make it without insurance and just pay the fine that will eventually come from not having it. but i dnt have access to the bill so i dont really know. even if i did im surelike most bills it will be so complicated i wouldnt understand it.

The main problem is it mandates coverage without regulating cost. If you want or need medical insurance there is nothing stopping the companies to charge 5 k a year or more. If you don't want it your forced to pay the fine. It's just another case of "government knows best".

The fact that the government is exempt from most of these alleged laws that are passed is your red flag that something is rotten in Denmark.

If they are exempt from anything we are supposed to obey, they become a "Ruling Class" and we are the "Ruled."

They have become the "District of Criminals."

“I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.”

--Candidate Barack Obama, Sept. 12, 2008

“If your family earns less than $250,000 a year, you will not see your taxes increased a single dime. I repeat: not one single dime.”

--President Barack Obama, Feb. 24, 2009

“The statement didn’t come with caveats.”
--Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs, April 15, 2009, when asked if the pledge applies to healthcare

i agree government tries do to way too much. not just democrats either. and i havent seen my taxes increase a single dime. well not if you dont count inflation. and healthcare isnt necessarilly a tax so thats how that doesnt fall under that category. but hey as long as we keep arguing with one another people will continue to push through bills backed by their party because they dont wanna lose ground should the other party be in office the next term. pitiful really

it truly doesnt make much sense. but go to jail, no. lets think for a minute. obama is supposedly the welfare wizard who cares about people who do not work more than those citizens slaving away giving up their tax dollars.he has to be one or the other, and you may not like him but make up your mind, think about things before you say them please. i understand your frustration but lets keep this less emotional and more logical.

It's not 5K a year, it's a month.

The point is that Obamacare is not logical! I am supposed to pay for insurance that I nor most people could afford. I need insurance to save my own life. I can't get it! Obama's healthcare plan really changes nothing insurance and healthcare wise. It just takes more money from you paycheck to supposedly fund the health care plan. Then when you cannot afford those astronomically high premiums for people with pre-existing conditions, you are so called "taxed" for it. Call a spade a spade it is not a tax, it is a fine. We do not know how much that fine is and how often they will charge you for not having the money in the first place to purchase the insurance. If we cannot afford the insurance, how are we supposed to be able to afford the fine? If we cannot pay the fine, then what? Garnish what money we do make? That would then increase the homeless! If the garnishment doesn't cover it, then jail?

I think Obama and the democrats that passed this bill, excluding themselves had a fit of temporary mental illness. It makes no sense!
