Dr. Delacey is a very wonderful doctor! He was my doctor for 8 years, until I moved to Memphis, I even drove to Jonesboro a couple of times from Memphis to see him last year, until I finally decided I needed to get a local doctor....Dr. Hong did my emergency C-Section, he was a great doctor also.

Dr. Sams is an amazing doctor. He always takes his time with me and explains everything. The first time I went to an appt. with him he took me into his office because he said it would be more comfortable. He spent 45 minutes talking about my symptoms, what we could do for them, and developing a 'plan of action'. He diagnosed me after 20 minutes when my previous doctor couldn't diagnose me after 5 years of being his patient. He did surgery on my 2 weeks later and my life has been wonderful ever since. He's an amazing doctor and I will sing his praises whenever I get a chance!

Oh, and Dr. Hong's an aweseome dr., too. Never seen him personally but dealt with him when my SIL was having her baby. He was great with her.

Dr. Hong is the BEST at NEA Clnic! I have had lots of problems and surgery and he has seen me through it all. I have 6 family members that see him also and they all love him. He explains everything and takes plenty of time with you. He is very patient and so kind. You will be glad you chose him.

It's pretty obvious from the post on here that most of you are on Medicaid and have found that one of the only places to catch an OBGYN that'll take you is the NEA Women's Clinic/OBGYN Associates.

Would be nice to see which doctors women with insurance go to see.

With those clinics the women never know who is going to deliver the baby. It's going to be which ever doctor is on call. Any number of people could see you or treat you.

I'm not posting which doctor I would suggest but I will tell you the office does not accept medicaid. Kind of nice going to a place where people actually pay their own bills and you don't have to sit there thinking how your tax money is helping to aid the growth in our nations population.

You are pretty rude. I love Dr. Hong and NO IM NOT ON MEDICAID. I have private insurance that I pay for, not my employer. And when it comes to my son, I had to pay for the pregnancy out of pocket since I did not have a pregnancy rider. When I was pregnant Dr. Hong came in on his day off (he was not the on call DR) to deliver my baby because his nurse called to tell him I was in labor. He didn't have to do that, but I guess that just lets you know what kind of DR he is.

Just because his office accepts medicaid doesn't mean that he is less of a DR, that his clinic is lessof a clinic, or that his patients are less of a person. People on medicaid do have more choices than you think, and some are using it because of legitimate reasons. There are some people who abuse it, and it's horrible that it ruins the image of all persons on medicaid.

Excuse me! I DID NOT have medicaid either and chose Dr. Delacey. You should be ashamed of yourself for saying those things. Medicaid is not only for the pregnant but for children who would not have insurance otherwise and the elderly. Sounds to me like you are a judgemental b*tch.

We were selfpay used Delacey I think we paid him about 3400.00, he told us that if you prepay the hospital (NEA) you get a huge discount so we did, the hopital bill paid in advance was only 2400.00 and included everything except the epidural which was 700.00. I could have used anyone and wasn't limited by Medicaid or an Insurance Company (unfortunately) and I chose Dr. Delacey and I wouldn't change a thing. It was worth EVERY dime.

First of all, who are you to judge anyone who's on medicaid. Second, NEA and Ob/Gyn Assoc. is pretty much the only 2 choices in Jonesboro.
I was a patient at NEA and have recently switched to Ob/Gyn Assoc. I am not and have NEVER been on Medicaid. I have always had health insurance that I work to pay for. However, if I was on it, it would be none of your business. God forbid you are ever in the position where you need a little assistance. Maybe then you wouldn't be so quick to judge.

You are absolutely right. I'm very sorry to everyone I offended with that off color and uncalled for remark. There was really no reason for it and it was a mean comment.

Everyone needs assistance at times, we've needed it, but don't qualify. The government sets unreal standards for that sometimes and being a working married family puts you at a great disadvantage. Maybe I was angry about something. Who knows, I don't even know why I said that. Maybe I was a bit jealous of those who didn't have to pay for the care, didn't consider the situation they'd would have been in to qualify for the assistance. Surely they'd have given anything to have insurance and the income to pay for it on their own. To make it worse I stereotyped all patients who went to the clinic as those who received assistance. It's not a bad thing that they get it either....I was just being stupid and really said something very dumb.

At anyrate I spoke way out of turn and made a tasteless comment. I apologize again to all of you for that. It was very wrong and very stupid. I am sorry. I'm not good at apologies so I'm sorry for that again.

I used OBGYN Associates for both of my pregnancies, and not only was I not on medicaid, I didn't have insurance at all. I paid both of my bills in cash, $3000 each time. The only time you have to see each Dr. is with your first pregnancy, after that you can see the same Dr. the whole time. I used Dr. Emerson with my 2nd and one day he had an emergency c-section, leaving me with the option of seeing another Dr. or rescheduling. I chose to reschedule because I thought it was silly to see a different Dr. for just one appointment. To tell the truth, I didn't know we had any choice other than OBGYN or NEA.
