the steak taco tasted good but the wait was long and the price was too high 13.71 for 1 steak taco with hot sauce lettuce and cheese lg cheese dip (6 bucks) large coke. I was still hungry so i made a pbj when i got home. if the taco was humongus or like the huge ones BA makes then ok but a 6" taco? no. They will be out of business in less than 6mths. but it did taste good.

And the results are in.

Of those posting actual like or dislike Taco Kidd comments, 20 posters definitely did not like the experience they had at Taco Kidd.

Three posters in a row posted one line positive comments.

Three comments were in support of giving them more time to figure out how to run a food service establishment (hint: learn BEFORE you open to the public). But none of those three claimed to have actually eaten at Taco Kidd.

So I suggest that everyone give them 6 months to figure out how to run a taco joint and then see if the comments improve.

In the mean time, those of you who are brave enough to be the test subjects, continue to let us know what you think.

As for me and my family, there are plenty of places in Jonesboro that already know how to prepare and serve food so we do not plan to pay for privilege of helping Taco Kidd figure out how to run a business. Apparently the owner has done something right in the past as it looks like a nice building from the outside and it's in the high rent district.

Thanks to all who have posted and have spared us the experience.

We were so hoping this would be a good place to eat and that it would be as good, or better, than Taco Rio in Paragould; which we love. Plan on trying Taco Kidd as soon as we get a chance and hope it's better than it's currently being reviewed.
Taco Rio is great, they came to Jonesboro back in the 90's but didnt stay in business for some reason.

It's a knockoff of Taco Bueno (a national chain that IS good). This place is a wannabe owned by a local guy named Kidd.

IF they were open 7 days a week it would put them in a higher tax bracket plus they wouldn't have time to spend all the money they make in 5 days.

Wow that is leaving alot of money on the table. In order for them to be in a high tax braket they have to make money! Sales tax is not a higher tax bracket and is not included in the Sales figure for a business since it is collected in addition to the price. From all the comment here not sure how long they will last.

This is a marketing disaster. Each 6" tortilla based taco has meat for $3.70 but they charge extra for cheese, sour cream and quacamole to bring the total to over $4 per taco. Salsa and pico de gallo are free on the condiments bar. I bought 3 small tacos without a drink for almost $14 bucks with tax. I can put $3 more dollars with that and get a cheaper entree at Omar's. The quality is not that good. The portions are a joke. Service is terrible.

wow does not compare to Taco Rio in Paragould. That what i thought it was. Quickly found out otherwise. There you can get beef tacos all day for .99 cents. With Lettuce, Cheese tomatoes and sauce. They are the bomb

I tried Taco Rio a couple months ago. It was pretty good. I hadn't ate there in years. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the lettuce and tomatoes tasting like an old stale refrigerator.

It might have been better if they had TACO SAUCE! That was the first "Taco" Restaurant I had ever been to that did not have sauce...therefore, the food did seem very dry and bland.
However, the cheese dip was awesome!
