Background checks that include private sales are nothing more than registration of law abiding citizens guns. I'm against it.

How many here remember when Charlton Heston uttered those now famous words, "from my cold dead hands"?

Do you remember what rifle he was waving to the crowd high in the air for all to see?

Probably because they are the most popular firearms in America.

It is a musket, that's what it is. A muzzle load black powder 1-shot rifle.

Who can tell us "WHY" then NRA President (and Oscar winning actor) Charlton Heston chose that particular rifle to use as a prop for his dramatic "cold dead hands" speech?

Who's the smartest kid in our class here?

Because Diane Feinstein is the only public figure dumb enough to wave an AK47 at a crowd of innocents!

Before you make an ass of yourself by regurgitating that liberal claim that the second amendment only meant muskets, look up British swivel guns. Breech loading, cartridge fed firearms in the 1400's! Before you claim the founding fathers never though about modern guns, remember that one of those men invented the lightbulb that is still in use today. Charlton Heston used a musket because it was the weapon that made the Constitution possible, no other explanation possible.

Actually, that rare commemorative muzzle loader had just been presented to him by the NRA, in recognition of his years of faithful service and dedication to that great organization.

I'm sure they presented a musket instead of a golden modern sporting rifle because out was the rifle that have us our rights.
