True that the employees use to be illegal immigrants. I don't know about nowadays. 14 years ago in Blytheville, a server would bring home close to $1000 working 7 days a week. They gave a portion of their tips to the employees who didn't receive tips; the cooks, dishwashers, etc.. In Blytheville, the owner paid rent on one apartment that several employees occupied and held that from their pay. Lucrative business for wealthy Mexican owner. No payroll, no insurance, no taxes. Last I heard, he lived up north? His daughter lived in $300,000+ home with swimming pool in Blytheville when her husband was manager of Blytheville of Blytheville El Acapulco. They moved to open up a new restaurant.

If the material and everything covering the booths belong to you, simply show up there with trucks and extra help upon first opening one morning and remove them from the restaurant. I would think if the guy refuses to pay you, you are entitled to recover your property. I bet he would show up quickly after being notified by employees, and gladly pay you.
Sounds like a great idea. Do it and let us know how it goes.

he lives less than a half mile from that one. In a house in Ivy Green he paid a half million dollars for 10 years ago, probably worth $750,000 or more now considering all the renovations he's made with "cheap" imported labor.
The actual owner use to live up north. I think Indiana. Wealthy Hispanic. His daughter is married to the former manager of Blytheville El Acapulco. Her name is Mediam. Her husband is Refugio Reyes (Koo Koo). The family opened up several Mexican restaurants in area under different names, including Casa Brava.

Make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau too. Maybe that will help.

Sharing tips is illegal. Turn this guy in immediately. He sounds like he needs a wake up call.

That is what I was going to say. I had a problem with a financial institution owing me money due to over payment on loan. It was promptly paid soon after I contacted
Bbb. May not work but it doesn't hurt to try. If I remember correctly you will deal with the Bbb office in Dallas.
