Umm Mr13 meatball why are you so interested in my marital status and if I have children? I'm not gay or anything since you think being so is ok rather than being overweight.

Did i ask about your marital status? Just another indication of your low intelligence level.. So, since you are a real, real simpleton,(probably special ed. kid, maybe?) i'll ask slowly.

DO
YOU
HAVE
KIDS?

Are you capable of providing and answer? Ready, set, go. Just yes or no, ok? Let's hear it,it's a very simple question to answer.

You two could argue for eternity but I think it's wise not to bring children into the equation. There's really no point and children are innocent parties.

No matter how you spin it, it's bullying when an unkind comment is made about another person's appearance whether it's made publicly or privately.

What I find so interesting is how he was "worried" about this anchor womans weight "influencing" our children & that she's setting a bad example because she's in the public spotlight. Did Oprah, Adele, Queen Latifah, John Goodman, Rosie O'Donnel, Whoopi, Roseanne Barr (just to name a few)....get the same email?

Furthermore, how many kids watch the news? They're more prone to watch movies or videos...did I miss the big child invasion of them dvr-ing the news now? They see grandpa & grandma with their beyond middle age spread more than this anchor woman don't they? I'd also like to add, while diet & exercise are wonderful.... "healthy" people are just as likely to land on an operating table getting a bypass due to a little thing called stress. So you can run 3 miles a day, be a vegan & drink gallons of water...but, your wife cheating, job cut backs & a mound of debt is counteracting your cause there.

Hey JustMe, never said i was perfect, did you see that word in my post? bet you didn't. Do you even comprehend what my point is? That obesity is NOT good? That yes people CAN and SHOULD control their diets and exercise? That although if you read it right, you saw that i said life is a crap shoot and that so called healthy people get sick and unhealthy live long lives, but, if more people controlled their diet i would bet people would live longer? did you see ANY of that? maybe you need glasses or something?
Do you know of ANY doctor who says to an obese patient, "don't lose any weight, you're fine"? come on, that's bullshyt. Maybe in arkansas a doctor may say it, but not here in NYC. Maybe a little "bullying" is needed for people who need a kick in their fat asses to do something to save themselves. I'm an italian and i get on my family's case all the time, and i'd say that about 1/2 listen, 1/2 don't but i have made a difference to someone.
I'm a fit man, i exercise, i watch my diet and (knock on keyboard), my health is good, and that's how i live my life. i can bet that there are MANY people who can't say the same thing and it's mainly due to their own poor choices, and that's a fact.
So let ME be an inspiration to all, you have a chance to change and make things better for yourselves, your weight, your health and your lives, don't settle for less and make the choice for YOU. If JustME is fit, fantastic, you're doing fine, for others who aren't, do something about it, and live.
People love to look down at drug addicts, drunks, sex addicts, and insist that they should "do something to save themselves" well , what about food addicts who's addiction obviously shows in their bodies? What should they do? Eat themselves to fat unhappiness? Get real people. Obesity is a problem, it should not be accepted and i'll get bullish with people if i think it'll save their lives.
I'm a tough-love kinda guy, if i wasn't, then i would slam fat people and not offer any message or advice of hope so that they can change their lives, but because i do care,i offer such advice. Let's hope someone listens and takes it.
To Mrs Ize13 Feet - Too bad they don't have a Topix you can join in your OWN hometown. Yours is the very advice and attitude that makes people not want to listen. Do you get that or do I need to spell it out. Your message achieves the opposite of what you say you want. I know because I heard this crap from my "well-meaning" mother my entire life. It is not helpful nor successful. It makes people avoid you like the bubonic!

Here's my take on this subject. We all have issues and struggles that we deal with differently. People handle stress and emotional issues differently. Some people smoke, some people drink or take drugs, some eat. Others go to the extreme with exercise and I guess some have positive coping methods. What I think is shameful is when people are mean to others when they probably have their own issues that are not as visible as being overweight. When people are down, we should help them up rather than trying to make them feel worse in order to make ourselves feel better. You never know what a person has been through.
to Honey - what a kind and wise person you must be.

I have found most things are all about control if you think about it. Just Me and Mrs Ize 13 Feet are no better because they have not learned to control their tongues. Is the way they speak to and about others a learned behaviour or do you think they were born that way? I'm sure they have no addictions hmmmm, except maybe the strong desire to blast others who have an opinion that differs from their own, and to do it in a not so nice way. Their mothers must be very proud.

I'm calling it bullying, the woman is not obese. She is overweight and could lose some weight. The man who thought he had the right to stick his nose into her business doesn't look healthy himself. Mind your own business people. People who think they're perfect suck.
