I know someone who has and she has lost almost 60 pounds in 12 weeks. I don't know any specifics, but she highly recommends it if you've been struggling with weight loss. I'm considering looking into it for myself

Can anyone tell me about the new diet plan that consists of taking phentermine and topamax? I know a few people that take it and they have lost a lot of weight but they also look very sickly. And seem to look a lot older than they are. Comments?

I started taking the phentermine around 6 months ago. The first month I lost 16 lbs. I was really excited about it plus my house had never been so clean. Lol when I went in to way the second month I had only lost 6 lbs. so I was a little disappointed then in the third and fourth months I only lost 2 lbs so my doctor talked to me about adding the topamax which he said was for migraines but that one of the side effects was patients were losing to much weight so the FDA ok'd it for use as a weight control drug. I saw results pretty fast. I went from a size 18 to a size 10. I also noticed that when I was just taking the phentermine I was not sleeping and adding the topamax really helps. I do think that when you lose weight you seem to be able to see more wrinkles, one of the nurses told me to make sure to take care of my skin, which is one thing I can say I haven't overlooked. The one thing I think happens with adding the topamax is that you REALLY feel like you don't need to eat or drink. That is a BIG mistake because you become dehydrated and your body removes this water it needs from your skin making it dry and the same for your hair and fingernails. You HAVE to eat properly but you have to watch the drinking part. I know a couple days I actually couldn't remember having anything to drink and that will make you sick and eventually take its toll on your skin making you look older then you are. Sorry this is so long just wanted to let you know it works but what you have to watch out for. Good Luck! By the way my headaches have let up to!! Lol
