I'm quite a fan of Al, and I agree, he has a big ole goofy grin. Who said anything about that being a BAD thing?

Al is a great guy, would probably be the head honcho at Hytrol had he and 1st spouse stayed married(Loberg). Things usually work out for the best, he seems to be extremely happy married to long-time friend, Aylia (a real sweetie !) All of us should have his goofy grin !

I had Al in High School and I was a grad in 71. So if he taught Jr High, it was way before that because I had Ruth Poston in Annie Camp before I got to HS.

Al is a great guy. He was unbelievable as a band director. Had great bands, but hs real gift was developing young people. He was a hard worker and so much fun to be around.

Al Poston was my band director at Annie Camp and Jonesboro Senior High. He was a wonderful teacher, mentor, and supporter of his students. We knew we had to work hard but at the end of the day we played hard. He inspired us to be our best every day. His quick wit and wonderful smile was always present. I graduated in the class of 1966 and am now 60 years old. Thanks to Al, I have wonderful memories of my band experience.

Al was my band director in high school. He was a great leader and devoted an amazing amount of time to the band programs. He developed leaders in the band and let the students manage a lot of the activities, etc. I worked with other band directors in HS and college and most directors don't delegate to the students. He had great bands and was serious with rehearsals but after practice was a lot of fun.
