grapevine info says the so called "top guns" decided to close it down and staff was informed they np longer had a job effective immediately/ something is up because a whole lot of staff reduction due to eliminating jobs have been goin on for months, guess the "top guns" need a bigger bonus - poor things ins co needs to do an audit

the service center is shutting down... MSHS has enough money to continue running the crisis unit but not enough to build a new building. Therefore it is shutting down. No Building= no services

also, jobs and clients were not immediately kicked out.... clients are still on the unit and will continue to be on the unit... the crisis unit will close in 30-60 days.... depending on client population and employee retention... also all employees will be given opportunity to stay with the company unless they choose to find other employment. this is not the first time the crisis unit has closed. it was closed in the past and then reopened. I would assume that when funding is found to open it back up then it will happen.

What'e the difference between the service center and the crisis unit? Are both closing soon?

Are they keeping the "criminal" clients? Where?

Where will all the employees be offered jobs? An hour away. Does mid south have that many job openings? We talking about 50 to 100 jobs?

What's going on with the Corning unit and the clients and employees there? Cutbacks or firings?

Arkansas prisons and jails are the mental health services now. Some one decided it is cheaper to lock these poor sick people up than to give them proper mental health treatment.

the services center is the building the crisis unit is housed in. There have been plans to move the forensic unit for a long time therefore money was set aside to build a new building for them. the service center just decided to up and close this June without consideration of the services housed there. The service center is not owned by mshs.

And it's roughly 30 employees. There is a freeze on hiring so those employees can get placed in the company but yes it could b in a different county.

Instead of laying 30 folks off, just fire 30 employees somewhere else for "cause" and give their jobs to these 30. Keeps the unemployment premium down! Oh wait.....
