Need opinions on the physicians and staff at NEA Hospital. I am trying to find a hospital that offers a specific service and I have only been able to find a select few within a 3-4 hour drive of Kennett MO. I have been told to avoid most but have not heard anything regarding this specific hospital as I have not lived in this area very long. Any information would be helpful. Thanks

Careful, they're a cult. I went there to apply for a job and the next thing I knew glassy-eyed Baptists were trying to convert me so their preacher will have more money to spend on cars, booze, and jewelry for mistresses.

Just kidding above. They're a good hospital. It's just NEA Hospital, not NEA Baptist. I don't know that there is any church affiliation, none that I could see. It's very well kept up.

my grandma was there not to long ago for a few days and they treated her very well, they also treated the family good...kept us informed on things
i agree with //wonderful care// they are very upbeat and it seemed as it was more than just a job to them

not necessarily a bad hospital, but every occasion that myself or a family member has been there and needed treatment their equipment was either down and not working, or there wasn't a doctor on call...not good qualities in any hospital. I prefer St B. They are busy, and I have had a few problems there, but it just has better technology.

Spent several days there recently with a family member. Floor nurses were great, physcians were OK, cafeteria food acceptable, but ICU was a joke! Better care if you could just skip ICU entirely and be returned to a regular room after surgery.

I recently had surgery and spent several days there. This was my fifth hospitalization and first at this hosp. It was my worst hosp. stay ever. The nurses were terrible except for for a few. They needed to make room for new patients and they moved me down to the maternity ward. Thank goodness. The nurses there were definitely nicer. I had an awesome older nurse named Wanda. The younger nurses seem to be lazier and not as attentive to their patients needs/requests. My surgeons were fantastic though. The only reason I used NEA Baptist was because they were the only hosp. that my insurance would take. Surgeons Hospital is very nice if your insurance will pay.

I have been in N E A hospital several times and I recommend this hospital, and I went into emergency inFeb, 1010 and the nurse in the emergency room was very rude, as I have a medical doctor that isn't on the hospital's doctor list, and the e r nurse told me I should not come to that facillity unless I get a doctor whom doctors in N E A hospital, but I will keep my med. doctor of 20 plus years and I will go to n e a emergency room if necessary because I have had very nice nurses in e r except for that one and I will probably never see her again, but I am pleased with the hospital and nurses . My cousin went to S B for surgery and the I V s were hooked up and after waiting for 4 hours they came and told the machines were broken and she had to go back today for back surgery

Thanks Nea is definitely the best in jonesboro. St bernards has been going downhill for years and will become the ghetto hospital entirely once the new nea baptist is completed.
