Can anyone tell me about the neighborhood? Looking to move and wanting a nice neighborhood. I understand the school district is Jonesboro mostly, can anyone tell me what street breaks the district down? How much for the golf fees and tennis? Is there any other housing area thats just as good or better? Thanks for your time.

It's fine as long as you want to play golf. Other than that, I don't really enjoy it so much. It is like living anywhere else; you get good and bad but it's really just mostly average.

Yeah right, that's what all you ghetto folks say. I would steer clear unless you want trouble. It's almost the worst neighborhood in J town.

Why would you say that about Ridgepoint?

If you like the Fowler family watching your every move, calling the pro-shop any time they see something they don't like you doing, then you'll love it. I can't wait to inherit my parents place, and move in just to give them some hell back. I'll be good and crazy by then. Here's Johnny! Coming soon to your hood.

I would think one would want to keep a eye on the golf course for idiots and report anyone who is not following the rules. The rules are there for a reason. So everyone can enjoy the course. The Fowlers from what I understand saved the course from bankruptcy. People should be more appreciative, or it could have been another Sage Meadows. Just saying

And if you need further proof, you have those beholden to the almighty KFC/Taco Bell kings.

No Mr. Fowler got what he apparently wanted, total control & no Board of Directors.

I have a couple of friends who live out there and they seem to like it. They're pretty well off so it might be a little snooty. My friends aren't snobs but their wives might be. The neighborhood is well manitained though and there isn't a lot of traffic. Both things would be important to me while house hunting.

Then,I would not be hesitant to tell them to mind their own business. They don't own Ridgepoint.Property owners do.If I bought property there, and I was following the pro shop rules, golf course rules, etc,I would laugh them off.

Yep if life that were simple, black and white, you'd be right. But in the real world there is a lot of grey. Those in glass houses....

The only people dogging Ridgepointe are the people that dont have enough money to live there. Ridgepointe is the nicest neighborhood in Jonesboro, HANDS DOWN. Also, Plantation Estates, which connects to Ridgepointe, is shapping up to be one of the best also. Oh, and notice that there is a E and the end of POINTE. So FYI, the people that are on here talking Sh*t about it dont even know how to spell its name correctly. You do know you are asking this question on the biggest SH*THOLE of a forum on the internet, right? You would be better off walking in a VFW and asking people in there the same question. LOL

Are you saying that Veterans of Foreign Wars are stupid in some fashion? Or that a Veteran couldn't afford RidgpointE? Are you insinuating that Veterans don't know how to spell ridgepointE? Just exactly what is your POINTE cuz neighbor I have a bunch of veteran friends that would love to kick your Obama lovin ass

Ridgepoint Blvd. is spelled without the "e" so it really doesn't matter how you spell it. The nicest neighborhood in Jonesboro by far is Terra Hills. The houses are nicely spaced out and are much larger than Ridgepoint. By the way..have you been to Ridgepoint's pool recently??? GROSS. They seriously need to demolish that and start over.

I think Ridgepointe is probably a fine neighborhood. I agree that Terra Hills is probably the best though.

We moved here a few years ago. We don't live near the golf course, but do play golf frequently.
We enjoy our home. Our neighbors are nice. There is a wide variety of people out here. Some down to earth, I've only found a few that are snooty.

We've never had Fowler interfere w/ our business. You do have to get approval for fences, additions, etc. There is a 3 person board that approves these - Fowler is on that.

Can't tell you exactly where the Valley View/ JHS school line is. I know that the houses in the entrance are in V V - up to the first street on the right. Most of the houses on the left (when you enter) are in V V.

There are several levels of membership. Full membership for residents is $265 per month. There is a $60 per month food minimum. Right now they have a promotion to join for $1000 instead of the usual $2000.

You can check out the club at : www.ridgepointecountryclub.com

Annual homeownership dues are $275. Security guards monitor the neighborhood nightly.

We like living here. It makes it easy if you are a golfer or tennis player. We also use the gym. The kids enjoy the pool.

Hope this helped.

At which point did the poster ever say anything about a Veteran or Obama? I am sure if the guy lives or wants to live in Ridgepointe, that he does not like anything about Obama. Wow, get a grip man! You have issues.
Ridgepointe is nice. Terra Hills is nice, but houses out there stay for sale FOR EVER AND EVER AND EVER AND EVER.......

I think he was talking about the VFW comment. I gotta agree with that though. Nothing against Veterans, but if you go to a VFW, there are some pretty low life people in there. I would dare to say that most of the trashy people you see there have nothing to do with the service or any war. Sorry, but most VFWs have some off the wall people hanging around there.

I saw some veterans pulling down their pants and defecating at the entrance to Ridgpoint. There was another one trying to urinate on the ones that were defecating. They must have been from this group that was guarding the embassy in Kabul.
