Sorry Fo Show, but I'm dead on calling Obamacare a socialist program. You, my friend, are the one who knows nothing about what you are talking about. It is nothing more than a scam to redistribute wealth. Under Obamacare, it will cost a family of four making $100,000 over $30,000 for insurance, while a family of four making $30,000 will pay nothing for the same health insurance. That has socialism all over it.
You can save your "redistribution of wealth" bullshit for the next thread. The only redistrubution of wealth thats been going on is the rich getting richer and the middle class getting poorer.

Whoever says a person who respects and honors the Rebel Flag is a racist is just plain stupid!! Remember there was NEVER a slave ship that sailed under the confederate flag......ALL slave ships flew the AMERICAN Flag! I honor my southern roots!

Yes, but I think it's a flawed model to make healthcare a for-profit only model. That's my personal belief. The reality is that failing to address some type of universal healthcare system will financially devastate our country's economy aside from the human suffering aspect. I don't believe it should be a handout but it has to be affordable. And if it's going to be for profit then it has to have real competition and a public option with a program essentially like Medicare would force real competition in the private sector. When the administrative cost in Medicaire and private companies, who are supposed to be more efficient, is that huge, then there is no competition for premiums. We have the highest per dollar cost for healthcare of any nation.
My first problem is you think it's ok for you to make a profit, but think others should not. Your personal belief is flawed.

Second, if you think the government is more efficient than the private sector, you are mistaken. I worked for the government at one time. The waste was unbearable, so I left.

Did you ever think our cost is in direct correlation to the quality of care? Let me give you the number of a Canadian gentleman I deal with on a weekly basis. He can tell you all about how wonderful the national healthcare system works north of us.

You seem a little testy LBT. Are you pissed off you spent all that money for a shredder you won't need now that the dems are tucking tail on the assault weapon ban?

Dumbass Google up the cost of administration of Medicare then do the same for private insurance providers. We're not talking about every government program we're talking about Medicare versus private insurers. Where do you think billion dollar profits from health insurance come from? They're public held companies and you can go on the investor prospectus and see how much they profit.

You're a businessman? Administrative costs and profits are not the same. Not even close to the same. So..........Are you arguing administrative costs or profits?

The rebel flag is nothing but a redneck symbol anymore. It rates about 2 or 3 notches above a swasticka.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

That's all happened since Obama took office too. Since the introduction of Obama care jobs are being lost and the cost of healthcare is up hmmmmmm... Looks like 2800 a year now and climbing faster.

Ya know Ms kitty.... Errrr LBT. One could say it was commendable that a fry cook like you wishes to live like a CEO but alas, it's just not to be. You had the same chances at birth that Barry Soetoro had. He changed his name, got in bed with some dirty dirty men and became president.
You got in bed with some dirty dirty old men and look at you now. There's nothing wrong with manning the drive thru window but don't expect to have the wonderful life I do and don't expect to make much more than minimum wage opening and closing that window during your back breaking 3.5 hour shift 4 days a week.

PS. Make sure my fries are hot next time.

Well, they're doing the same damn thing and businesses are so supposed to be so much more efficient than government so the answer seems pretty clear. They're milking all kinds of expenses out of it and still wrangling a profit. It's a license to make obscene amounts of money without the usual constraints of a specified amount being kept in equity. They have a totally unregulated banking system within an insurance system. They bitch about rising cost but they pass every bit of inflation on to the end purchaser. And if they do bad in the market, they can raise insurance rates to make up the difference and there's no prohibition against it. I'd love to have the option to purchase Medicare and pay the difference in what they pay to the doctor,etc.. I pay about $30K for a family policy with 2 deductibles and used to have pre-existing conditions that were a farce. I've done a hell of a lot of study on this as a matter of self-preservation. And because I'm on a private plan as opposed to a group plan, they can cancel all my coverage with a 30 day written notice as long as I'm not in the hospital at the time I'm served the letter. New York state is the only state that doesn't allow this little know proviso. I don't consider it insurance if they can cancel me if I find out I have an expensive illness.

The thing I hated most about Jonesboro is that it's like blacks and whites couldn't be friends. You HAD to hang out with white people if you're white and HAD to hang out with black people if you're black. I just like associating myself with good people regardless of skin color. I don't think that Northeast Arkansas has entered the 21st century yet.

By the way, the swastika symbol has been around for centuries and it was merely just a good luck symbol until the Germans ruined its image forever. In the 1800s and early 1900s, a lot of American sports teams used the swastika as their athletic logo. The Confederate flag has gone the way of the swastika, but some backwoods hicks still won't let it go.

Very well said, Chris. I have a few friends who are black but not any close ones. I try to view people based on how they act and how they act toward me without regard to color or any other descriminatory factor. We should all strive to do that.

That's an awful lot of gibberish to answer a simple question. Are you arguing administrative costs or profits?

If I'm paying $30,000/yr. for insurance, I'm rolling the dice and not buying it. Of course, with Obamacare, I'm going to be paying $30,000/yr. and I wonn't have a choice to have it or not. I will be forced to have it. I believe that's socialist.

I think I pretty clearly addressed the cost/profit issue in the other post. You're not going to be required to have the type of coverage I have but rather the minimum coverage needed to comply. I have a plan that's been tailored to my family and my situation and this likely wouldn't be as costly for you. I believe it's American law. I'm complying. You can refuse to participate in any way and be an outlaw and we'll follow what happens to you. You could be the man who refused to obey a law he thought was socialistic. I'll try to write articles and sell them to some of the stringers. Here's your chance at making history!

No, you didn't address anything. Are you arguing administrative costs or profits? You never answered the question.

So.......you had a plan tailored to your family, but you're bitching about the cost of it. That makes sense. NOT

Read up on it Fo Show. Basic coverage for a family of 4 making $100,000/yr. will cost $30,000/yr. under Obamacare. The same coverage for a family of 4 making $30,000/yr. is zero. Didn't you say something about everyone paying for their own insurance under Obamacare? LOL I can't wait to pay for mine......and for 5 other families.

Look at the post that is being replied to and I think you'll see my response. If not, then leave me a note to clarify it for you and I'll see about it tomorrow. I'm give out for the night so I bid you addieu.
