What's everyones take on this Seductions? I think the people of Craighead County and the city of Jonesboro should look into who these people are. They have these same businesses in Little Rock and have been known for illegal activity. This is NOT what our community needs.

Are you able to provide proof of their illegal activities and that they have similar businesses in Little Rock--or is that just part of the "Fort God Gossip"? Even so--unless the illegal activities are true, what's the problem with the store? They are very clean and professional and if residents of Jonesboro and the surrounding areas desire to wear racy lingerie and (forgive my bluntness) sex toys--within the privacy of their own bedrooms, who's to stop them?

Would you want someone insulting your sex life?

Yes, there may actually be some "kinkiness" in Jonesboro!

All of the strong opposition needs to get laid. This is 2008 and if people so desire to use sex toys, then more power to them. If there wasn't a store in Jonesboro, then people would just drive further.

Be careful what you say. For all you know, your preacher and his wife play with dildos.

It's not that big of a deal, people.

I saw an ad for the store in Jonesboro's Celebrate (or maybe it was the Occasions,) magazine and the store appeared to be really respectable- not at all the trash hut that it has been portrayed to be. My message to 'fort god': GOD MADE SEX, PEOPLE! STOP TRYING TO DEMONIZE EVERYTHING IN THE NAME OF GOD! HE ALLOWS US ENJOYMENT BECAUSE HE IS WELL AWARE THAT OFTEN TIMES LIFE ITSELF IS NOT ENJOYABLE. EVERY CHRISTIAN ON THE BLOCK KEEPS SHUNNING EVERYTHING THINKING THEY ARE PLEASING TO GOD BUT IN REALITY, HE THINKS YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHO HE REALLY IS. EVERY GOOD GIFT IS FROM HIM. IS IT NOT GOOD TO HAVE A SEXUALLY FULFILLING RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR SPOUSE, OR WOULD GOD RATHER YOU BURDEN YOURSELF WITH THE TASK OF SUBMITTING SEXUALLY TO YOUR HUSBAND OUT OF DUTY WHILE DESPISING THE EXPERIENCE AND TIME SPENT? IT DOES NOTHING TO STRENGTHEN THE MARITAL BOND. I THINK GOD IS FOR THE MORE THAN THAT IN A MARITAL RELATIONSHIP.

I suppose I should ready myself for the stones now.

I have to wonder what is going on (or not going on) in the bedrooms of everyone who is opposed to this store. I am a married adult (30 years old) and believe that if I want to spend $40-$60 on 2 inches of material to wear something sexy to bed I should be able to, even if it will only be taken off in 3 minutes. These people need to loosen up, turn the lights ON, get some massage oil, and get busy!!!! I hate to be reduced to a closeted lingerie wearing dildo user. I believe 2 adults (or as many adults as are capable of making their own sexual decisions) should be able to do as they please behind closed doors. I mean come on, we're not filming this stuff to show at Sunday morning services. I think they should just let it be and maybe they can even learn to enjoy!!!

Absolutely. We need to clean this town up and get rid of all institutions that can be connected to improprieties and illegal activities.
Let's start by kicking out all the Baptist Churches.

what a shame that a business can't make some money in this town. all the holy rollers stand up and stomp their feet and get angry and say stuff like, our community is in the toilet because of that store. whatever. all the crime and drugs and other illegal stuff was here before this store opened.

I cant tell you how many times I have drove to Cardwell to Leather and Lace and to the Lions Den past blytheville. Playing with sex toys is NOT a crime. I mean think about it if you can't please yourself how could you please your partner? I am 31 years old and I have been playing with toys for over 10 yrs. If they are a legit business let them be. There are drug dealers on the street and I dont see any blogs about them. Its sex and as long as its done behind closed doors what does it matter? Personally I am glad we got a new toy store here because I like to get a new toy about once a month. Toys can make your sex life wonderful and if your happy in the sack everyone is happy!!!!!

The so called "Good Citizens should put as much effort in trying to rid the city of the already rampant illegal use of drugs and the manufacture of drugs. Then maybe they can make the dity a better place. Come on people get down off that high horse before you fall off and get bruised.
If you are so worried about sex maybe you should close Victorias Secret and Spencers they are much more provocative. I didn't hear any complaining about them. There is just many hipacrats in The Great Jonesboro.

Nearly everyone is against alchohol, but if you read the paper you will see that they already have a problem with drinking and driving. Maybe that is because Judge Blackman gives them such a light sentence. Something just isn't right with a system who will put people in jail for up to 10 days for driving on a suspended lic but only give a 2nd or 3rd offence dui a fine, community service and oh yea dwi school. When is the last time anyone heard of someone driving on a suspended lic killing some innocent person.
I have actually seen Judge Blackman give a 4th offense dwi only a fine, community service and drivers school, I don't know about anyone else but that is gross injustice. But thats just my humble opinion.

PS maybe if these people who are getting the dwi's didn't have to drive so far they could get home before they get so drunk. But I guess that is just backward thinking.

You people need to wake up and see who your real enemy is; (politicians maybe?)

point here is if you need sex toys then there should be a seductions. if you dont buy such toys then dont go there. can adults not make their own decisions anymore without some group of pain in the a$$es raising some kinda stink about it? whatever happened to people tending to their own buiseness? noone is trying to force these folks to go into these places against their will. mind your own buiseness and you just might be a happier person for it. good luck to ya seductions, i hope you make a million.

I think the owners need to read this article: http://www.wjla.com/news/aploader.html...

Recently a federal court of appeals struck down Texas laws banning the sale of 'sex toys' because it violates the 14th amendment 'Right to Privacy'(one of the rights not specifically granted to state or federal gov't, therefore reserved for citizens).

The same kind of toys can be found at Spencer's gifts and other "party supply and gift" stores. The same lingerie can be found at Wal-Mart (see anyone trying to regulate them as an "adult industry"?) and other clothing stores. The same costumes can be found at Golden Grotto and other "party supply and costume" stores. Seduction's just puts all such items in one store.

I'd rather see my neighbor buying a racy boardgame at Seduction's than read some of the state's school administrators internet logs.

The same sex toys can be found at the Grotto. Just ask to go into the back room. They have them there. Been there for years and no one's complained at all. Outta sight, outta mind.
