5 Guys doesnt have Milk Shakes or even Chili.

They also have no coupons or discounts.

But they do have a good burger, although priced a little too high.

Well with DAve burger comming to town ( a knock off of 5 guys) the burger wars are just starting. People will only pay $11 for burger fry and drink for so long. Then thay will just go back to the cheap burger. Both of these have the issue of competing with skinny and godsey. Both have great burgers and the beer to go with. Goo luck 5 and dave.

What is the story on DAve burger? Are they a local business or a franchise? Where are they going to be located?

I agree for now, had not tried a couple of the newer burger places yet but it is hard to pass by the pepperjack burger with bacon at shorty smalls.

On 463 just past the mayors office. It's been there for years but I can't say I've ever ate there or at Jerry's even though I lived there most of my life.

I'm gay and like Chick Fil-A (ssh...please don't tell anyone I'm still very much in the closet about my chicken sandwich preferences). That whole protest thing was just idiotic. Everyone (both sides) is entitled to their own opinion. No need to label people.

I miss Hollywood Burgers. I'm going to have to try this new place now.

He has one in Russeville and Little ROck I think he is trying to do on in N Little Rock and Jonesboro. He is looking to franchise. So far 5 guys is not meeting their projections. Jonesbor is not a Little rock or North Little rock.

Realtors and developers "sell" Jonesboro locations to these chains and laugh all the way to the bank with their commissions. They don't care if the business fails, if fact - all the better if it does because that just means another commission check! Jonesboro looks very good on paper, lucrative, progressive, large 300,000 population "catchment area", regional center for banking, education, industry, and agriculture. Good public schools, low crime rate, home of ASU with a student population of 12,000, etc, etc, etc, What nobody realizes till it's too late is that Jonesboro is perhaps the most difficult markets you will ever find. Very little of what looks great on paper translates into real business. Just ask Blue Coast, Five Guys, Chedders, Ruby Tuesday, Chillis, Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Outback, Shorty Smalls, O'Charley's, Long Horn, etc, none of them are making the profits they expected or were assured of making.

I doubt it would have anything in. The family that owns it are very good people! I know trumann has a bad name and all but Jonesboro isn't much better. I grew up in trumann and just recently moved to Jonesboro. I think I turned out just fine I don't do drugs or have an std and I have a very good family and know several other families from trumann that are just as good. So trumann is not all bad like you might think.

So, you are saying that our local real estate agents are smarter than all these national chain big wigs? Hmm, seems to me they need to be running our country.

My daughter and I went there for lunch Thursday. We both thought it was really good. The place was slammed with customers, but it only took 6 or 7 minutes to get our food. I've waited in line at McDonald's or Burger King longer than that. But we opted to take our meal to a table outside due to the noise level inside.
We had 1 bacon cheeseburger (2 patties), 1 little bacon cheeseburger and an order of cajun fries, 1 soda and 1 water. It was about $18. Cheaper than Wimpy's, and the food was better. Apparently, I got the worst burger ever served out of Godsey's because I've had one and it was so bad I've never ordered another one. My husband's Godsey's burger wasn't good that day, either. Not a good experience for our first time going in there.
The 5 Guys burger was good though...tasted like I had cooked it myself at home. The fries tasted good, but could have stood to be cooked a little longer because we prefer them a little cripsier than they were. But both my daughter and I ended up bringing part of it home because we couldn't eat it all. We only stopped in on a whim, we were headed to Cheddar's for lunch and when we saw how busy they were, and realized 5 Guys was open decided to give it a try. It was not a planned excursion to eat there. I usually avoid places like the plague till they've been opened a while.
