Five Guys Burgers and Fries opened today.
2100 Stadium Blvd, across from Cheddars.

Has anyone else eaten there yet? What did you think of the place.

I went for lunch, the place was packed. My order arrived in exactly 10 minutes which was very good for fresh cooked food and as busy as they were.

I had a regular cheeseburger (two patty's)$5.99, a regular (the smallest they offer) order of fresh cut french fries which were limp and a bit greasy, but the order was big enough to feed two or three people. The fries are cooked in cholesterol free peanut oil.

The have free peanuts for you snack on also.

I also had a regular size (the smallest they offer) soft drink,@$2.09 for a total of $11.91 for a burger fries and drink.

The burger was very good, but I cannot rate that meal as a good value considering all the other place in town that one can eat for less money and get way more food.

The nose level was deafening as the staff was yelling out orders and calling out numbers of orders ready for the customers to come to the counter and pick up. It's not the place for a quiet business lunch.

But I suggest everyone try it at least once, just to see how the place operates.

No onion rings, no shakes, lots of toppings (15 to choose from) available at no extra charge.

I had 5 Guys in Jackson and it was AMAZING! I'd pay $11 for their food any day. I hope the one here is just as good.

Is it just me (which it could be) or does anyone else find that chains are never as good in Jonesboro as they are anywhere else in the free world? Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Chedders, Ruby Tuesday, Chillies, etc are seriously always worse in terms of service, food, and atmosphere in Jonesboro as opposed to anywhere else.

I ate at Five Guys in Florida. It was good but nothing special.

I will cerainly try the one here. Anytime someone goes to the expense and effort to put in a new restaurant in town, we make an attempt to try it at least once or twice.

I think that Skinny J's, Godsey's, and Fat City have excellent hamburgers/cheeseburgers, too. You can get a baked potato at Fat City and at the other two, you can get great fries or homemade chips with the burger.

Jonesboro's lucky to have so many places to get a decent burger. I'm sure there are other places, too

Decent but nothing compared to In N Out Burger. And I did notice flies on the cooked burgers prior to wrapping em up. Tasty and it takes the place of Chik Fil A which is crap.

The closest In N Out Burger is in Rockwall, Texas, which is on I-30 a little ways east of Dallas, TX

The chain is privately owned and for many years only had locations in California. In recent years they have branched out into the Dallas, TX area and some locations in Utah.

We ate there two weeks ago and their food is very good also.

There menu is very similar to Five Guys, but they also offer shakes as well.

To learn more about the history of In N Out Burger and find a list of locations go to

http://www.in-n-out.com/

Also to learn more about Five Guys, go to

www.fiveguys.com

They have a very interesting history.

I agree. I love to go in there and sit on the bar stools and order lunch. I watch the little old ladies make it and bring it to me. It's so good and really cheap. I think I can get a burger, fries and coke for less than $5. Those homemade old style milkshakes are the best, too. There aren't very many of these drug store burger joints left in the country and I'm glad this one is so close by. Say what you will about Trumann, this little drug store is a great place for breakfast or lunch. You feel like you stepped back into 1955.
