Magic touch rentals

Okay obviously "Oh MY" is someone who works for Magic Touch or runs magic touch. Humm.. thats pretty easy to see.. I currently rent from them, I know several people who in the last year have been sued by them for the most outrageous charges. And also I know for a FACT THEY CAN AND DO HAVE A KEY TO YOUR APARTMENT (Unlike their website states) several times their has been a mexican man come and fix things in our apartment and he was always in their before we got home. I have always cleaned my apartments I have left, I will do the same for this one, so Mark my word these crooks wont take my money! I took pictures of the nasty apartment they gave me the day we moved in, and I am taking pictures the day I move out along with video. If you move out of his apartments go to the court house and make sure they have your correct address on file, do a change of address form with he post office go to Magic Touch give them your new address that way they cant do a default judgment when you dont show up!! People will stop rolling over and letting this guy "F" them !

It's not always so easy. I've seen the small claims court judge rule in Rees' favor several times when he obviously had no case.

Most of the time he wins by default. There are hundreds of cases in small claims court where he has sued his former tennants. Ask the court clerk to look at the case files and you'll be amazed.

The interesting thing is that neither Rees nor Magic Touch Corporation even own the property he rents out (they are owned by a different corporation), and if you follow the money, often times it winds up in the bank account of yet another corporation. Something very fishy is going on.

I dont care if it's easy or not, I will be in court and if he wins in Small claims court then I will hire a lawyer, I will find every person who feels they have been wronged by him and this company and I will call every newspaper, radio station, tv station, I will start blogs, myspace pages, facebook pages, rallies, etc until something is done about this predator that is feeding off the middle class people he rents to, who work hard for the money he steals. This country is already in a financial downward spiral it doesn't need people like him bankrupting any more families. This has to and will stop.

Sorry Ma'am, I neither work for Magic Touch nor do I run Magic Touch. I simply stated that it is a contractual agreement between two parties, as long as you uphold your end of the contract you are in the clear. I currently rent from Magic Touch and value the fact that their properties feel like neighborhoods and are safe. You don't see junky cars sittin on blocks in these nieghborhoods, the grass is mowed and the properties are clean of trash. Maybe that lengthy contract and the lawsuits are to keep high quality individuals in these properties. I personally appreciate not having cops outside my apartment on a weekly or even daily basis as goes on in many apartment complexes. And no matter what an apartment complex tells you, they always have a key to yoru apartment and can come into it whenever they want, Magic Touch seems to have a good system of monitoring who goes into the apartment. Basically, stop complaining, you have the right to rent from anyone, no one forces you to rent from Bob Rees, but if you like the benefits his apartments offer, you are protected just as much as he is by his contracts.

Okay Oh My apparently you dont live in the same neighborhood I do, because I personally have had to call the police many occasions for damage to my vehicle, a guy down the street from us had his window busted out not but two months ago, another guy on the other end of our street had his truck sat on fire closer to the beginning of the year, apparently a man was stabbed in one of the apartments coming into the neighborhood, you must not live over in these apartments because they are NOT safe, my neighbor had to call 911 cause a meth head came to her door and tried to walk into her house!! Same lady knocked on my friends elderly neighbor's door asking to enter her apartment as well. THIS NEIGHBORHOOD IS NOT SAFEEEEE!!! So dont falsely inform people, If you want to know about the Crime in this neighborhood go to the police department and how many times they get called out here!!

This man will take your retirement, if you are elderly please I urge you to not rent from them. You may like living there now, but wait until you go to move out.

Regarding pets..it depends on who you are. The girl that works for him and her girlfriend have 3 dogs and one is a large German Sheppard. But it is unlikely he would allow you to have one large mutt.

You signed a document that clearly states what is expected of both parties, if you don't uphold your end of the contract he will get you. You would be on here complaining if he didn't uphold his end of the deal so just shut the crying up.

Do not rent from Magic Touch!!! I know that their apartments are nice and large but it is not worth it! For starters, my husband and I recently moved out of a Magic Touch apartment. We lived there for 3 years, always paid rent on time (actually had it drafted from our bank account every month), and did not break our lease. When we moved, we cleaned the apartment thoroughly and even rented a carpet cleaner to make sure and clean up high traffic areas. However, we recently received a letter stating that we received $250 "merit pay" back but that they were taking $125 out to clean the carpets and another $125 out to clean the apartment. This is bull$hit! How can it cost $250 to fix a few tiny nails holes where we hung pictures on the wall?! That should be considered normal wear and tear which most landlords figure into monthly rent. I wish we would have read the lease more thoroughly upon moving in because we paid a $350 deposit and a $250 pet deposit. But in fine print the lease states that these are non-refundable and that you are elgible to "merit pay" upon moving out if you uphold your lease. Conviently the cost of cleaning the apartment and shampooing the carpets combined is the same as the "merit pay" you can receive back. Oh and they also do not take care of their properties very well either. We started having a problem with mice a couple of years ago. After we killed 6 mice, I called Bob. He told me that was our problem and the only thing he could do was come have his workers lay a few mouse traps down in our apartment. So, we called an exterminator and spent $200 for them to come out and help us get rid of the mice. Come to find out they were coming in from the outside through a hole in the construction. Why was that our problem?! Later we found out that our neighbors had killed 30 mice in thir apartment before they decided to move out! Lastly, the first week we lived in our Magic Touch apartment, someone busted out the window of my husband's truck and stole his radio, sunglasses, and ipod. When we called Bob he acted like he could care less. He even refused to add a security light on the side of out building where it was pitch dark. I hope this man burns in hell! But I guess what goes around comes around!
